fun fact: all diaper bags at oregon state's commencement will be searched for low gpas & ****
unlv running rebels 33
oregon state beavers 25
exciting game with beavers tight end jermaine terry (former bear who couldn't get his body right in the cal football's high injury/zero yoga s&c program) got tripped in the end zone on the game's final play but no penalty
offensively beavs qb1 gevani mccoy passed for 231 yards & is still the same straight up full tilt gamer to the final play that we saw last year as idaho's qb1
defensively the beavs are banged up which resulted in former bear andy alfieri playing both ways & making a pivotal play sack on the rebs qb1, this osu d is susceptible to the run but maybe not bloesch's predictable (once again zero PITCHOUTS) 1980s texas high school smashmouth run game schemes & and dangerously running the bears rb1 & rb1 into telephone poles which has not only seriously injured jaydn ott but also cost him millions of dollars in the 2025 nfl draft
real talk: if javid best had to play for bloesch he would've entered the transfer portal, a 1,000+ of his yards came on PITCHOUTS
A lot of us wanted Brennan Marion for OC the last two times we had an OC opening. UNLV hired him and now they have the #4 offense in the country even after losing QB1. Meanwhile we are #98
Marion only makes $300k.
. Besides OC/OL, special teams (kicker) coach I think we need a new strength and conditioning guy. I have no idea if Shocky's yoga stuff is needed (not saying it isn't) but it is very obvious that:
1. We appear to have a lot more injuries per game than our opponent (I guess we have stats on this)
2. We obviously have a lot of guys missing a lot of games with injury. Guys playing who have been hurt still look hurt.
3. Our guys seem to go down on first contact. Every other team seems to get additional yardage after contact.
4. Are all our fast receivers out? We could not back off NC St's DBs yesterday. Toward the end of the game they were playing tight coverage at the snap and we couldn't run by them. Maybe this is recruiting but I thought we had speed at receiver.
Anyway, if we are stuck with Wilcox, at the very least we seem to have very obvious areas that need addressing and certainly Knowlton and /or Lyons can review this with Wilcox or even hire a temp consultant to recommend certain changes that can be made.
Am I just having a senior moment with this post or do others see these obvious (to me) shortcomings?
