longwell is 100% turning over the special teams room with the departures of elite longsnapper david bird (alabama), punters lachlan wilson (legit nfl punter prospect, tulsa degree) & bobby "raised by wolves" engstler (arkansas state), placeholder lachlan wilson & kickers ryan coe (will hopefully stay enrolled this spring/stick around to earn a berkeley degree) & derek morris (in transfer portal)...ryan's revolving clownshow track record (along with his dumb azz partner adam tanalski) clearly shows he has not prioritized recruiting student athletes that value earning a berkeley degree along with failing to recognize the same remarkable qualities (pinpoint accuracy with ice in his veins & haas biz ad school ambition) of mateen bhaghani (ucla, after being run off by longwell despite shocky's failed attempts at intervention at the request of mateen's parents) that are also found in collin morikawa (haas biz ad grad)

cal's monster class LONGSNAPPING story:

a couple of years ago slim wadie & shocky wuz paired up with a father & son at the fabulous streamsong resort (the bandon dunes of florida, walking only courses half way between tempe & orlando in the middle of nowhere with a million crocodiles lurking everywhere!!)

the dad obviously got bad knees so shocky is getting the ball outta the hole & even teeing it for him, he thx me & tells me got physically ****** up back in the day playing center for the san diego chargers...he tell us about longsnapping against their arch rivals oakland raiders & after snapping the ball to the punter getting violently karate chopped hammered on the top of his helmet while getting ruthlessly chop blocked to his knees & then after falling to the ground getting repeatedly punched in his junk...just win baby!!

anyways the son & shocks are having a nice conversation a couple of holes later while walking down the fairway & he tells me that he's gonna intern with the bros of wall street that summer...he's around 30 years old so the monster points out that he's kind old to be interning, he tells me he's been the longtime longsnapper for the new york giants & that he's transitioning to life after football!!

ask him wut's the backstory??...basically he wuz the 4.0 gpa 3rd string linebacker for brown (ivy league school) when the starting longsnapper got injured & he volunteered to try out in order to actually get on the field...turns out he's a born natural & then shows me the wildest hand/finger gymnastics evah that allows him to bend his wrists literally backwards, he tells me this bizarre contortion allows him to snap a football as quickly & accurately as anybody on planet earth!!

ask him about the pressure in snapping in big time nfl games??...he tells me with a smile that he basically does this **** with NO EFFORT...his financial future is set with a brown degree & that the plan has always been to work on the street, the nfl deal is just a fun side trip

bottom line, 4.0 gpa david bird (alabama) gotta lotta pressure...without a cal, stanford or ivy league degree if he don't get paid in the nfl he's ****** with a worthless degree & looking at a future working at either the waffle house in birmingham or the six flags hurricane harbor water park by the i-17 in phoenix

don't be a dumb azz (a berkeley degree allows u to pursue the nfl with house money)#

the most recent transfer portal deadline to enter wuz december 28th but this still allows players to select a new school anytime after that date

there are 3 exceptions to this deadline:
1) grad transfers can enter the portal at anytime
2) players in january bowl games get an extra 5 days to enter the portal
3) players with head coach departures get an extra 30 days to enter the portal

berkeley's new semester starts next week with the 1st day of classes tuesday december 21st

the next portal window is april 16th thru april 25th

2025 pga tournament in diamond head at waialae country club: 1st round update

taking full advantage of one of 2 tournament sponsor special invitations haas biz ad grad james hahn showed resilience after a sloppy bogey on the 1st hole to roll in 5 birdies on the way to an outstanding 66 & is tied for 13th!!!...like struggling brandon hagy, hahn's golf game has gone on a downhill trajectory since moving away from shocky's home of north scottsdale (elite practice facilities & training support and year round golf weather)...james made an unreal 132 feet of putts in the 1st round!!

as a result of crooked azz driving (6 of 14 fairways off the tee) on the narrow fairways with punishing bermuda rough with balls sinking to the bottom resulted in ben an shooting a 72 & is tied for 122nd

rolling along at even par michael kim 3 putted from 9 feet for a double bogey on the 14th green & then seconds later snap hooked it outta bounds on the dogleg left par 4 15th hole for another double bogey en route to a 73 & is in danger of missing the cut tied for 129th

ugonne foul watch: only 2 fouls (one a rebounding tussle) & more importantly a composed michelle with bodies flying all over the floor with numerous collisions, when onyiah thought she wuz fouled from behind on a missed shot around the bucket she calmly pointed to the ref to her wrist & she ran back forward with a professional wnba demeanor & zero ima victim bull**** drama...and wut happens when michelle is NOT in foul trouble??...ugonne plays lockdown d, grabs 10 huge rebounds, scores 15 points on a highly efficient 7 of 12 field goals & most importantly ZERO turnovers...pros do this every nite, michelle, keep this up & ur gonna get PAID!!

kayla williams: huge props to coach charmin for recognizing the usc fierce warrior as someone who could lead this year's california golden bears basketball team with wildly acrobatic finishes around the bucket & an unselfish 6 assists


marta suarez: ur moms did not raise u to back down to nobody in ******* life, she is smiling right now & guiding ur 3 pointers thru the heavenly haas airspace!!...17 points on a lethal 6 of 12 fields including 4 for 4 on 3 pointers & just as importantly an improved facilitating/distributing 4 assists and only 2 turnovers...muy bueno, marta, muy bueno!!


fun fact: when lulu & ionna r conversing with their hands over their lips they r saying unladylike bad words...let's ******* go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

turnover watch: best game of the season in terms of not wasting valuable possessions, the bears can compete with any team on planet earth with only 11 turnovers!!

minutes/fatigue: kayla played all 40 minutes & ionna played an iron woman 37 minutes, rest/rejuvenation will be necessary before sunday's match up with florida state...seems like the acc gives another day between scheduled games than the pac 12

real talk: the bears need to be in the top 16 in the nation & host a 1st round regional, a #17 ranking or higher will 95% mean losing in the 1st round to an elite team on their hostile homecourt...cannot let up now

plz keep in mind that lifelong students of golf course architecture weigh heavily the architect's routing as it affects the walkability of a course...most casual golfers don't really care about this but golf purists don't consider playing in a golf cart real golf & most hawaiian island courses are really just scenic vapid cartball venues...and so with that being said, this is the monster's rankings:

1) kapalua plantation: a stunning marriage of the ocean & a challenging mountainous pineapple field, the plantation is the only must play design in the islands...finishing on the dramatic wind swept downhill par 5 18th hole with lanai in the background is one of life's great joys

2) nanea: charles schwab's uber private venue (his partner is george roberts of kk&r) for zillionaires is a spectacular david kidd design but it's a shame that with thousands of acres at his disposal that kidd didn't create a tighter more walkable design...the outdoor shower in the modern clubhouse is one of my favorite locker room amenities in the world

if u don't got ur gpa in ur social media (twitter & instagram) headers, ur kinda telling the recruiting world that ur gpa is probably under 3.0 & that academic achievement isn't really ******* important to u as u focus on playing football on a football field with a football, got it??

good luck at nebraska or some other football factory (usually located in freezing azz ****hole igloo communies in middle america) that quickly replaces its disposable gladiators that get worthless degrees that require NO EFFORT that set up its dumb azzs for high paying hourly careers in salinas at age 30, right nyziah??

plz keep in mind that lifelong students of golf course architecture weigh heavily the architect's routing as it affects the walkability of a course...most casual golfers don't really care about this but golf purists don't consider playing in a golf cart real golf & most hawaiian island courses are really just scenic vapid cartball venues...and so with that being said, this is the monster's rankings:

1) kapalua plantation: a stunning marriage of the ocean & a challenging mountainous pineapple field, the plantation is the only must play design in the islands...finishing on the dramatic wind swept downhill par 5 18th hole with lanai in the background is one of life's great joys

2) nanea: charles schwab's uber private venue (his partner is george roberts of kk&r) for zillionaires is a spectacular david kidd design but it's a shame that with thousands of acres at his disposal that kidd didn't create a tighter more walkable design...the outdoor shower in the modern clubhouse is one of my favorite locker room amenities in the world

3) mauna kea: robert trent jones sr best design in his multiple decade design portfolio, it lacks the predictability that defines so much of his work...the collection of par 3 are outstanding as is the once a week buffet on the beach after swimming with the friendly but scary azz looking sea eels

I played Nanea last year and LOVED it! I know it doesn't meet the Schockmeter walkability requirement, but frankly, we were one of only two groups on the course and had a beautiful, leasurely round and I love the actual golf layout and views of the ocean and the Big Island terrain. I stayed at the Mauna Kea and am very happy they're doing a refresh on the course. It really needed it. My home course, El Caballero, is also a RTJ Sr. layout as is Spyglass and I love his work.

looking forward to checking out the renovation work at mauna kea which just got completed, the director of golf recently tole me that new grasses wuz planted with the plan for the course to play more bouncy & firm (instead of spongy like a lotta island courses) which will help the strategic shot values shine thru...agreed that spyglass is good, rtj sr's sleeper designs are the golden horseshoe in virginia, valdarama near malaga spain & the robert trent jones golf club (when the club cleaned out ex prez bill clinton's locker they apparently found a lotta interesting fotos & condoms!!) near lake manassas

anyways, wut's ur take on anora, will it win best the oscars (do u got a sag card & can u vote?) for best picture and/or best actress with mikey madison (who lives in the valley near erewhon with her dog & cat and is apparently nothing like the character she plays)??

last winter in nyc after a successful afternoon of shoe shopping at bergdorf goodman & before our dinner at carbone taylor wuz getting her nails (hand & feet) done in tribeca which wuz taking forevah so she talked her dad into getting his toenails painted cal bear BLUE...so it wuz kinda funny as **** when shocky went to modern yoga the next week & there wuz a lotta smiling quizzical looks thrown my way...wut's the point of this story??

jacob wuz the cal's monster class mvp of the la bowl with his ELECRTIFYING returns & ability to create separation from the TAKERS, this is truly a special young man that is not only mentally limitless but an unreal +1 dynamic threat every time he touches a football

the bears just got 100% better today!!!...the monster wuz so tired of nikko & mikey fair catching every punt & even worser not running up to catch punts (which then roll out another 15+ yards) because they wuz afraid of fumbling it for a turnover

and good ******* luck to acc defenders tryna guard de jesus as a vertical downfield passing weapon, this guy gets open with NO EFFORT!!
