rich, the pipeline to future Builders of Berkeley starts with passionate school spirit & FREE tixs for all students to all football & basketball games, is this happening right NOW??
when r u gonna green light dan mogulof to fire general knowlton, jennifer simon-o'neil & markeisha everrett???
generational wealth building ingenuity starts in berkeley (with visionary leadership from a chancellor who rejects any failing status quo/worthless bureaucrats)#
2025 acc football schedule is gonna be announced tonite
are ALL berkeley students in these financially challenging times (crushing student debt, families homes destroyed by the so cal fires, etc.) gonna be invited to attend all california golden bears football games this fall for FREE or is it just gonna be the sole privilege of those with middle class+ parents (usually white) to cheer for the bears again at memorial stadium??
my moms grew up poor as **** above a dry cleaner in san francisco, she had ZERO disposable income as a berkeley student for a 1st generation college grad (for FUN she would walk the family doggy dog on the beach near the cliff house) & never attended a cal football game until her haas biz ad grad son got 50 yard line season tixs & she became an EPIC fan!!
wake the **** up, rich, socioeconomic status should not restrict ur students ability to celebrate with other students the MAGIC of cal football in the fall of 2025, right??
the university of california, berkeley=#1 ranked PUBLIC (that means INCLUSIVE) university on ******* PLANET EARTH
https://instagr.am/p/DFQhsP8ShNw the MAGIC of cal basketball (needs u at haas pavillion at 7:00 pm this thursday nite vs them #13 north carolina tar heels)
the university of california, berkeley=#1 ranked public university in the world (for those that don't perceive themselves as disposable gladiators at football factories with level 7 hypothermia cold azz weather that give away kinda worthless degrees that sometimes result in their ex players at age 30 living in a box under the overpass for the i-280)
^^^ no, now is the not the time quite yet for berkeley grads josh drayden & ben hawk-schrider to be cal position coaches but that day in the sun in gonna happen sooner than later
allen brown wuz integral with the development of the TAKERS during his time as a defensive analyst with the cal football program a couple of years ago, allen wuz the washington state cornerbacks coach this season & got hired this month as the colorado state defensive backs coach
all roads lead to berkeley (unless ur gpa is sub 3.0 then it might be level 7 hypothermia in freezing azz eugene)#
^ fun fact: dr shock's recent brilliant findings/dissertation re: the long term trauma caused by level 7 hypothermia can be found in the november 31st edition of the harvard medical school journal of medicine

if devin had not escaped columbus & jaron had not escaped eugene, they would both not only be severely/permanently undereducated but also suffering acute (vs smokeshow hott) level 7 hypothermia!!
this has been a wild hiring process with more than 1 candidate (but it's NOT my story to tell), julian griffin would be an absolute HOMERUN hire as his roadrunner running backs wuz OFF TO THE RACES in 2024 for 2,585 yards!!
that's not a typo, two thousand, five hundred & eighty five yards
for the world class intelligent math/science folks here that's 2,580 yards plus 5 bonus yards
the truth of the matter is that both aristotle thompson & burl toler are great human beings/mentors yet at the same time neither one of them has ever developed a player who got drafted in the national football league...at's failure to lobby for playcalling that allowed the bears rbs to get outside & capitalize on their SPEED wuz honestly coaching malpractice
jaydn & jaivian r gonna finally get coached up with PITCHOUTS on the edges in open space, this **** is getting live!!
https://instagr.am/p/C8r9U05vuGH cal men's golf update: coach michael wilson's starting line up for next monday thru wednesday's 1st tournament of the spring at the affluent real estate community of sherwood country club (near the back road to malibu) after 6 qualifying scoring rounds which included brambles, mayacama, wente vineyards & tpc stonbrae is as follows:
1. eric zhou (freshman) 2. tony chen (senior) 3. sihao cong (sophmore) 4. charlie berridge (junior) 5. daniel heo (junior)
both sihao & daniel are from so cal
sherwood is a typical nicklaus design with a high slope/course rating that favors the aerial game but is more FUN than most of his firm's overly penal architorture work due its inclusion of 5 par 3s & 5 par 5s that mostly got risk/reward options...clubbing on the risky par 3s is critical in order to avoid big numbers, targeting the middle of the greens particularly in high winds will require controlled lower ball flight trajectories
hopefully all the bears will be on their best behavior and fill/replace divots/ballmarks & ****
cal is a golf school (with a really good women's basketball team)#
the bears struggled on the shorter front nine but played better on the much longer (200 yards) back nine en route to a tie for 8th (14 team elite competition field) at +9
the tournament converted the scoreable uphill short par 5 2nd hole into a monster long par 4 & the bears made a mess of it with the 5 bears playing it in 4 over par
shocky mentioned in his pre tournament analysis above that clubbing & targeting the middle of the greens on the 5 par 3s at sherwood is critical to avoiding big numbers but the bad news bears played the par 3s today in 9 over par, no es bueno
the bears gotta opportunity to move up the leaderboard tomorrow with better course management & ball striking on the monster par 2nd hole & the 5 pars 3s, let's do this!!
after roadies to hot as **** auburn & tallahassee in 2024 the bears got zero heat warning games in 2025, yo no quiero mucho agua fria chica!!
and the one potential snow gameday has been averted with the perfectly timed roadie to boston college in the ideal new england early fall on september 27th
furthermore the bears only leave the left coast 3 times (compared to 5 times last season) in 2025 with additional acc battles at virginia tech & louisville
the schedule is kinda backloaded with arguably the 2 toughest teams smu & louisville in november
the byes are also well spaced out after tough games with duke & louisville
do u got ur cal football gameday passport for seeking adventure or r u just a beer drinking/pizza stained wifebeater torn t-shirt sofa king??

Thank you @UTSAFTBL I will always love this place and will always and forever cheer for your success! To all the players and coaches THANK YOU! @CoachTraylor you are the 🐐!! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to chase my dreams!! Love you guys! ✊🏾#GodDid let’s go… pic.twitter.com/vBM3RUNFQL
anybody remember the good old days when 2025 super bowl starter nikko remigio (my daughters shay & taylor named a feisty little rescue cat "minko stinko" after him) fair caught almost every punt because our special teams risk management adverse head coach wuz irrationally (probably due to unresolved childhood parental issues) afraid of a fumbled punt for a turnover??
in jacob de jesus the bears once again got an explosive kick returner, is wilcox gonna **** this up??

The Va Tech game probably has a good shot at decent foliage color, probably better than the Boston date...
at this exact moment, the bears would be the favorites (boston college & vrginia tech on the road are probably 50/50 deals) in 10 of the 12 games on the 2025 schedule & that's really scary azz with the longwell (ryan basically turns the room over on an annual basis) newly assembled kicking unit

nikko remigio: the king of the FAIR CATCH in berkeley so he transferred (also poorly developed by burl toler who like aristotle thompson never had a single player drafted by the nfl without transferring away from him) to fresno state & now minko stinko is getting PAID in the national football league
don't be a dumb azz (returning kicks is an opportunity to WIN games, coach)!!#

Burl coached KeeSean Johnson at Fresno State who was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals.
At Cal he brought in our highest rated recruits at any position. There is value to having a Cal guy sell Cal. The issues on offense were more: 1. OC/Wilcox 2. QB 3. OL All of which limit the exposure for a WR, leading to most of our best WRs transferring.
If anyof you are skipping this because you don't click through on shockys links - well - this 2025 who iss the opp is an INSTANT CLASSIC Cade does a great job and you will appreciate the knowledge of the students.
there's a million positive things going on with the cal football program right now (other than longwell's huge question marks kicking room) & shocky 100% appreciates all berkeley grad burl did for the university so gonna just wish the toler family beautiful happiness moving forward!!
ok the monster can't help himself, the bruins will be the worst wideout BLOCKING unit in college football next season & the ucla rushing yardages will reflect this issue
rkt, 100%, vals & max r creating some FANTASTIC content rite now!!
agreed thus is an instant classic & represents their best work in their portfolio & yeah that cade guy got a wonderful personable demeanor ("hey soccer ball") for this kinda ****
2025 big game opponent: "a green trash can with legs coming out of it"
nothing much to write home about today, the shocky points of emphasis did not happen: 4 over par on the monster par 2nd hole & 6 over par on the par 3s
good luck to eric & tony with their opportunity to finish in the individual top 10 tomorrow

Cibolo is only a short drive (maybe 20 minutes without using freeways) from UTSA's main campus off of 1604 in San Antonio. Not far from where I live in Helotes.
https://instagr.am/p/BY0lvZkHVN0 terrific pitts, if julian commits to the university of calveston, we will 100% be expecting u to make the drive from helotes to cibolo for one of his friday nite lights games & then post here a monster scouting report, ok?
is there a buc-ee's in the area?

Blocking is pretty low on my list of requirements for a WR. I don't remember Desean Jackson being a great blocker. Our new guy, Jacob De Jesus, is listed as 5-7 175. Do you really expect him to somehow be coached up to be a great blocker? At 5-7 175? Speed kills and a WR running deep routes takes out two defenders and opens up running room whereas a WR staying home to block telegraphs the play and just creates roadblocks, or worse, gets them injured.

Closest Buc-ees is in New Braunfels, about 15-20 min up I-35 from Cibolo and about 30 minutes from Helotes (i have to take 1604 to I-10, to 35). Me and my daughter actually met at the Buc-ees in NB last week. She drove down from Austin and I drove up from Helotes. I got a monster Buc-ees brisket sandwich.

You and Burl have much in common.
If your offense calls a lot of wr screens (as Cal's has for many years), the WR need to block. The wrs need to block for running plays as well. And to get to the NFL you need to block - like Cooper Kupp or Puka Nacua who are in many ways the key to the rams running game.
Burl was a great person and rep of Cal - and a good recruiter (because he's a great person). But I think its fair to say his top recruits didn't perform to the level one would expect. Lots of reason for that, including injuries and poor OL play. So let's just wish him well and hope Cal's wr unit performs better going forward.
