koream, always good to hear from a fellow poly brah who got hopa hopa family members

right now jaivian is on an official visit to ucla at burl toler's invitation but until he makes his final decision the jet will still be in play so there's still hope...and yeah my current plan to attend every second of cal football again this fall in person (unlike pitts who watches on his sofa in front of a big screen tv somewhere in texas) is contingent upon thomas

jaivian is shocky's favorite player due to his size & commitment to making his hometown a better place (with a berkeley degree the jet could become oakland's future mayor in waiting someday & impact thousands of lives) & he hasn't loved a cal athlete as much since his boyz ivan rabb & jaylen brown back in the day tho it's possible he might feel that way about both lulu twidale & jaron keawe sagapuletele with the passing of time

right now aristotle thompson got the keys to the bears running back room, he came back for pro day & is the puppet master kinda like the wizard of oz & is directing player traffic...hopefully the good hearted aristotle despite whatever justifiable reasons he might feel with respects to being mistreated by harsin & wilcox hopefully at will not be vindictive enough to encourage jet to throw away a berkeley degree unless it's for a stanford degree

shocky met his moms javona at the syracuse game (read my post for more details), her son loves his educational opportunities, his teammates & his moms along with her extended family driving 15 miles to all his home games at memorial stadium so they can celebrate his triumphant achievements together

seriously doubt bryan harsin (an innovative offensive mastermind but also a dumb azz who got fired at auburn for alienating lots of people & banging his female administrative assistant) or justin wilcox (my acing psych 1 tells me he's an introvert who grew up with a demanding non emotionally available nfl dad which has resulted in his need for privacy and inability to forge deep relationships, most players & bearents will tell u that they like justin but don't feel like they really know him) have a trusting relationship with jaivian or jovana

but the bigger loser if jaivian departs cal without a berkeley degree will be this remarkable young man himself whose future is unlimited in terms of the # of lives he's capable of positively impacting as a role model for oakland's youth (and even more so than marshawn if he earns a berkeley degree)

yeah koream, the jet is a mamushi killah and a star star star star star star!!!!!!

Shocky what is the chance that we can get The Jet to stay? Slim and none? I would be OK overall with my outlook for the season if he was the one guy to come back.
He was going to be the guy, maybe even with Ott, so if he decided to bounce and so did everybody else, why would he be more inclined to stay versus the others? None of them are coming back
Because we could possibly give him what Ott would have made, which I would assume is a much bigger bag. I mean still get to play in front of friends and family, with huge increase in NIL. Why not deal with a dbag for a year lol? Sometimes that's life. Lots of employees have to tolerate toxicity to pay bills, so it ain't like some Greek tragedy. Graduate from Cal and hit the combines. Cal football needs to make him the #1 priority for anything right now, if there is still a chance.

Great student, electric local player, could be our key to building a broad fan base in the East Bay. Rivera should interview him and if it is a staff member or staff members whose behavior has driven all our offensive players away, then Ron should make sure that person is gone. We don't have time to let this crater out.
I'm not gonna lie, Ron seems a bit weak and powerless right now. Let me know if I'm wrong.

No one reports to Ron; how much authority does he have?

2025 heritage classic at harbor town: 2nd round update

collin morikawa (66, tied for 8th): the glue to the round took place on the coastal marshland par 3 17th hole, jj & collin discussed the shot shapes/carry yardages for a lot longer than usual which ultimately resulted in a drawing 7 iron which ended up left in a deep bunker short sided outcome...but then collin's new spyder putter rolled in a ice in his veins 20 foot par putt to keep the round clean (bogey free) & bring positive momentum to the weekend!!...let's go koa, golf is ruff!!

ben an (68, tied for 57th): strong bounce back round (elite players do not follow up near course record rounds with 81s, right mr zhou??) but gotta hit more greens in regulation (only 19 outta 36 in the 1st two rounds)

max homa (72, tied for 57th): gotta figure out the 2 way miss which resulted in a watery double bogey 6 on the par 4 10th hole

michael kim (71, tied for 57th): the usual brilliant putter is 71st (out of 72) in the field, ouch

gotta agree with freddy on this one, nobody with active brain cells is gonna believe that ron got key to **** until he announces that all berkeley students will get FREE tixs to all cal football & basketball games so they can inclusively celebrate school spirit with their classmates

the non innovative branding/marketing trio of ****tards knowlton, simon-o'neil & everrett gotta it set up so that only trust funders with rich parents from 17 mile drive can afford the student season pass which means that poor as **** 1st generation college kids from seaside will never experience the magic of gamedays & storming the field/court

a bull**** fake zoom call on monday with rivera saying knowlton is helping him drive the car is NOT gonna fool anybody & will be derided by all...action not more empty word games by the berkeley bureaucrats will resonate with fans

and the real ugly part of this equation is that rich lyons who grew up in palo alto (and not oakland) is ok with this exclusionary ticket decision to not build a pipeline to future season tix buyers (and maybe Builders of Berkeley)

2025 heritage classic at harbor town: 3rd round update

ben an (63, tied for 16th): despite a pulled iron into the calibogue sound for a bogey finish on the par 4 18th hole, ben absolutely lit it up en route to a near course record 63!!...as stated here multiple times an is gonna win a pga tournament sooner than later & will be a factor in the remaining 3 majors for 2025

max homa (69, tied for 53rd): wowza, rolling along at 5 under par max went flag hunting on the par 4 18th hole's deep left pin position & made the lethal mistake of overshooting the downwind green which resulted in a dumb azz triple bogey 7...the good news is that max is continuing to build confidence & stacking momentum after his strong play at the masters

michael kim (70, tied for 59th): story of the day, michael wuz rolling along at 3 under par until he hooked his tee ball on the par 3 17th hole into the marshland for a double bogey 5...kim's ball striking this week continues to be on point but his putter has kinda cooled down which is surprising given the relative flat greens at harbor town

collin morikawa (77, tied for 59th): collin has significantly improved his sand play since berkeley with more speed at the bottom of the swing but has struggled this season outta bunkers (ranking #161 in sand play on the pga tour this season)...so it wuz not totally surprising when he played ping pong outta the bunkers on the diabolical par 4 13th hole & made a quadruple bogey snowman 8...morikawa will figure this out, no worries, some poke for dinner will be the move

2025 heritage classic at harbor town: 4th round update

ben an (73, tied for 38th): ben is playing world class golf right now but penalty strokes on the 4th & 18th holes kinda derailed his scoring

collin morikawa (69, tied for 54th): burned the cup all day on putts, interestingly no bunker shots which will be a point of focus during practice time next week in new orleans...fun fact: collin gets $3,000,000 a year as an ambassador for zurich, yeah haas biz ad grads get PAID in the real world

https://instagr.am/p/DIhZJ4CTwQn
michael kim (69, tied for 54th): still playing like a boss man birdieing all 3 par 5s today in shooting in the sixties...really glad michael is gonna take next week off & take a well deserved from traveling (collin is the only bear playing in next week's zurich classic)

max homa (70, 70th): max gotta be kind to himself while figuring out the 2 way miss off the tee (missed 26 fairways this week, no es bueno)

real talk: we're gonna find out tomorrow if lyons values include doubling down with word salad games/deceptive organizational schemes while protecting his fellow worthless bureaucrat knowlton & tryna paint over the truth with more bull****??

the summer of 2025 is just around the corner (will it include the final death blow to the cal football program, the financially bankrupt ponzi schemed athletic department & berkeley alums fall gameday portal to the university??)#

If there were odds, I believe it is -150 that the presser is not going to be meaningful in any way, and could leave us with more W T F. Prove us wrong Riverboat!

real talk: lyons got one FINAL shot to save his failed chancellorship before the existential financial tsunami wipes out berkeley (as we once knew it)...his off brand bull**** isn't fooling anybody (except maybe himself)

The fact that it is Ron and not Lyons is bad news in my opinion. Unless he lays out some immediate changes in the reporting/football admin structure to prove he has the keys it seems highly likely that he will just say all the things people want to hear but without any evidence in resulting structure or actions. Crossing my fingers - feel like we are out of rope.

I hope the presser is crystal clear on the roles and responsibilities of Ron and Knowlton; zero uses of metaphors or analogies please! We all assumed that Ron meant he was in charge of the football program when he said he was driving the car, but it could have been interpreted as he is the chauffeur driving the car and has no say in where the car is going.

Be prepared to be underwhelmed. I'll be on board if there is some masterful PR delivery, but I doubt it.

econ, if lyons is too ******* gutless to attend or if rivera mentions knowlton at all, it's gonna be pretty obvious that nothing has changed at the berkeley zoo
