^ 100% wifey (thx u for endowing the cal men's head golf coach position to infinity & beyond), not surprising that byu (the only high altitude school in the reno regional, carry distances in reno are very comparable to salt lake city) won medalist honors at 15 under par

2025 ncca men's golf regional tournament at montreux: 3rd round update

CONGRATS to the squad on battling the elements & coming from 5 strokes back in the final round in shooting a remarkable 4 under par to finish 5th at the regional & advance to the ncca championship at la costa starting on friday of next week in southern california!!


golf is game of mental discipline kinda like academic achievement at elite world reknowned universities, it's not surprising that cal & stanford both gotta lotta guys getting PAID on the pga tour right now...there's a correlation between gpas & the pga, don't be a dumb azz!!

yeah coach wilson gotta lotta tough as **** no quit dogs on this year's team

shocky: prairie dunes is an amazing links golfing experience, easily the best course in kansas and in my world top 25 rankings...hey, do you wanna join me and adam for a quick drink?

random dude: would love to talk about golf course architecture with you guys, that's my new hobby, but i got to go this work function at 7:00 pm

shocky: (thinking it's some boring azz corporate function with rubber chicken) can't you just show up late?

shocky: well, now that you mention it, i'm the director of recruiting for the cal basketball program and the co author of cal's monster class with its several million views which is the most read thread in the history of college basketball...did you know we are currently in major battles with you for three mcdonald all americans?

roy: (with a kinda smirk and perhaps a glimpse of recognition) really, and what three prospects are you referring to?

shocky: ivan rabb, jaylen brown and caleb swanigan...i've branded these recruitments as cal's diamonds are forever class.. do you know anything about these guys or do you just delegate recruiting to your assistant coaches?

roy: (tight smile but perhaps with a bit of annoyance) do you got a minute or two?

shocky: sure

roy: ok, walk with me to valet then, i gotta speak across town in thirty minutes, this is just between us, ok?

and then as we walk thru the clubhouse to the valet area by the front door roy williams lectures me for 5 minutes non stop breaking down the skillsets of ivan rabb, jaylen brown and caleb swanigan

his detailed knowledge is mind boggling, he tells me that rabb (at that moment the #1 ranked player in the nation) is the most innate rebounder he's seen in years and very unselfish with the ball but that he's concerned about his unusual gait (note: ivan retired from the nba because of plantar fasciitis)...jaylen brown (ranked #5 in the class) is a future nba all star but will struggle in college with sharing the ball & 3 point shooting...caleb swanigan (ranked #12 in the class) could be a nba first rounder if he can successfully core out his body, his guardian roosevelt barnes is very involved in his recruitment (caleb, rip, was a cal silent commit but barnes refused to sign the letter of intent which resulted in him signing with purdue)

finally william's silver lexus suv shows up at the valet circle and roy looks me in the eyes & tells me with a little wink "nice meeting you, shocky, good luck in out recruiting me"

shocky is not a dumb azz, he knows what just happened...unlike the current cal basketball coach, roy williams is the featured speaker at dozens of fans/donor events throughout north carolina every year & its kinda hard to come up with fresh new intro speeches, he can't wait to get to his dinner in 30 minutes and tell everybody how he just met this crazy as **** berkeley guy who thinks they are going to out recruit the fabled north carolina program that's won multiple national championships, the crowd is gonna love it & howl with laughter

well guess what?...the shockster got commitment from all 3 of these mcdonald all americans & signed 2 of them

ben an (69, tied for 20th): despite hitting only 6 outta 14 fairways & only 9 outta 18 greens in regulation, ben took advantage of scoring opportunities including a 90 foot holed out flop shot on the short par 4 8th hole for an eagle 2!!

collin morikawa (70, tied for 30th):

good news: filthiest short game morikawa display evah on the back nine with multiple unreal creative feels!!


bad news: questionable low percentage plan to escape tree jail on the brutal par 4 18th hole resulted in a 2nd shot tree branch deflection into the creek & a double bogey 6...collin & joey greiner gotta get their strategic **** together, if a bold play wuz the plan then a cut 9 wood should've just been safely launched/airmailed into the grandstands left of the creek for a free drop

michael kim (71, tied for 46th): fabulous birdie 3 on the iconic par 4 18th hole punctuated a very strong 1st round

max homa (73, tied for 74th): max is continuing to drive it well (hitting 10 outta 14 fairways), expect a MAJOR move up the leaderboard mañana in north carolina

max homa (64, tied for 5th): as foreshadowed by the monster, max has put in the tireless lonely long hours of work at whisper rock/silverleaf in straightening out his 2 way driver miss (20 outta 28 fairways hit in regulation), check out the best tee ball anywhere in the world in the year 2025!!


yeah maxazillion could probably give his pal collin some tips on how to strategically score on the diabolical par 4 18th hole or something


collin morikawa (72, tied for 48th): collin wuz rolling at 3 under par in his 1st nine & in the top 10 when he pulled his drive (an overcorrection to his pushed tee ball yesterday into the trees) on the brutal par 4 18th hole into the creek...funny moment when morikawa tole greiner his grandiose dumb azz plans to take a chance tryna advance the next shot (after the penalty stroke drop) outta deep rough hopefully near the green, joe just shook his head no & tole our haas biz ad grad "i don't like that" while handing him his wedge & walking away

2 double bogeys on the 18th hole the last 2 days, wut will saturday bring??

ben an (73, tied for 48th): ben's scoring is actually quite remarkable when u consider he's missed 15 fairways in the first 2 rounds...the elite clubhead speed an is 19th in driving distance this week

michael kim (72, tied for 62nd): huge achievement for michael to fiercely battle despite a non 100% back to make the cut as right now kim is #54 in the official world golf rankings...the top 50 will qualify for the us open at oakmont in june & the top 60 will qualify for the british open at royal portrush in ireland in july...stong play this weekend will move the little kid dream of qualifying for the next 2 majors into a potential reality

It doesn't work that the Monster thread has you posting 25 of the last 26 times. We're a community, a place for discussions, we don't host individual blogs. I'd suggest you build up your Twitter or IG following or go to WordPress or somewhere else so you can opine on anything you want whether people want to discuss things with you or not. now that the portal transfer window is over (except for grad transfers) shocky thinks the current squad solved some major special teams personnel issues with the signings of notre dame long snapper rino monteforte, texas punter michael kern & miami kicker abram murray

this ELITE trio infusion of talent will impact the upward trajectory of the cal football program in the fall of 2025!!

as u may recall the monster stated in december of 2023 that longwell running off ice in his veins now ucla money in the bank kicker mateen bhaghani (despite shocky's unsuccessful efforts to intervene with the staff at his parent's behalf) could derail the cal football program in the fall of 2024 which is wut absolutely happened with 3-4 losses directly related to kicking game failures

of course many fans ignored shocky's warning preferring to believe the insiders false narrative that longwell wuz upgrading the position by bringing in a "big leg" talent in ryan coe...and that's why this board needs as many voices as possible & not a singular shared insider pov on cal athletics...the fake cal athletics narratives have included views that "patience" wuz necessary with wyking jones & mark fox and a lack of outrage until recently that jim knowlton is 1000% unqualified to serve as the athletic director as a result of the mckeever evil as **** racism with suicidal women's swimmers, lying about shovels in the ground with respects to the critically needed for recruiting/development purposes dedicated basketball practice facility (as the former men's basketball general manager back in the day until he wuz fired/censored shocky is still hoping there's a path back to supporting the program along with jaylen brown if these petty feuds can evah end) & financial negligence (refusal to cut costs/rightsize the # of sport teams) in a time of existential crisis with the acc now offering clemson & north carolina a $75,000,000 exit fee in the future which could result in cal ending up in the muir woods coastal conference in the next round of relegation

bottom line, the cal fanbase is getting way too ******* old & is NOT bringing new fans/voices into the tent which should inclusively welcome literally everybody that wants to share/experience the MAGIC of cal athletics...new emerging passionate cal fans need to be developed which would be facilitated by FREE tixs for all students on football/basketball gamedays & more FUN threads that r attractive to those under 25 years of age



so wut are the top 3 priorities for the cal football program for the rest of may until 2025 fall camp in august??

1) the hardworking staff is leaning heavily into our poly roots with high school official visits with several high gpa ELITE talent starting with official visits the last weekend of this month...the monster will be reporting on these recruitments

2) current qb1 devin brown did not decisively win the job this fall, he is a natural leader but the door is wide open for all 3 qbs including off the charts upside jaron keawe sagapolutele & fast emerging ej caminong to build much needed CHEMISTRY with the newly constructed wide receiving room which the monster has pointed out for years has failed to play physical/BLOCK during the wilcox era of zero offensive players drafted by the national football league...the qb1 job for the season opener in corvallis is gonna be a fierce competition this august despite a current leader for the job

3) cal's monster offensive line has actually been undersized during the wilcox era of getting bulldozed at the line of scrimmage with scrappy but too small o-lineman...them days r ******* over, shocky luvs the hiring of jason novak (just glad that he made it outta lansing after all that happened) & famika anae who got accountability systems of transparent s&c metrics!!...the new minimum standard for trench workers is 315+ lbs of +1 athleticism with quick twitch movement/mobility in berkeley!!

max homa (76, tied for 36th): homa got a new driver (with greater ball & clubhead speed with his cored out offseason s&c work) & today could only hit 7 of 14 fairways...max likes to say "winners never quit & quitters never win"...the sun will shine tomorrow in charlotte!!

collin morikawa (74, tied for 57th): collin's 6.0 stroke average on the 18th hole this week>>>>>>>>>>>>collin's gpa in the haas biz ad school>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>scottie's gpa at texas

michael kim (75, tied for 63rd): gotta keep battling tomorrow with official world golf ranking points on the line & the opportunity to earn 2025 us open & british open invitations

ben an (79, 73rd): ben is better at pingpong (parents on the south korea olympic team back in the day) than anybody else on the pga tour!!

freshman junkball ace miranda de nava (13-5) tossed the flawless shutout pitching ahead in the count (issuing only 2 walks)

the bears will be able to host ncca regionals (current facility is not ncca sanctioned for hosting ncca tournament games) once the new stadium is constructed

the GOOD NEWS is that coach famika anae & coach novak ******* get it, the monster will be shocked if every trench worker in the o-line rotation in the fall of 2025 does not weigh a minimum of 315+ lbs!!

yeah 315+ lbs is the NEW mandatory bare minimum in berkeley!!

willem, max lost his ****/composure today, after missing the green on the 3rd hole homa threw his club with half a crooked azz bouncy bounces down the fairway (not an ELITE helicopter move with tight spirals) & then after a chunky chip on the 17th hole tapped in with his sand wedge (opted not to wait for his caddie to give him his putter) en route to a 77

good thing des isn't coaching homa anymore or something

yeah after the round max wuz working on the range with the noodles before his flight back home to the desert

2025 pga championship at quail hollow: 4th round update

collin morikawa (72, tied for 50th): CONGRATS to collin for finally making a par on his arch nemesis hole the brutal par 4 18th hole after double bogeys each of the 1st 3 days of the pga championship...morkawa's game is really on point right now, his driving accuracy (#1 on the pga tour this season) is well suited for the 2025 us open at oakmont next month!!

michael kim (71, tied for 55th): on the par 5 7th hole michael drained a 65 foot putt for an eagle 3 which required him masterfully dying the ball at the edge of a massive ridge on the putting surface before it slowly funneled down into the hole a half a minute later!!

max homa (77, tied for 60th): max, try looking at mr brightside, u shot a ******* 64 this week in a major championship & even today's **** round had 5 birdies!!...ur really close to putting it all together so until then u need to chill the **** out & get a yoga/meditation practice like shocky, got it??

ben an (76, 74/last place for those making the cut): look sometimes the putts refuse to go in no matter how much u wave at the crowd or something

I took my daughters to a meet the coaches event in 2002 after they won the natty. They had a model of the new stadium then. It will have taken 25 years to get the stadium built. It was also sold to recruits when my daughters went through in 2011-2016. Hopefully it finally gets built.

cgc, the softball program gotta opportunity to lead the nation in homeruns next season while they play in a temporary ballpark while the new facility is under construction

the savvy innovative marketing/branding move would be to play the stanford home game at memorial stadium or something in the quest to set the national ncca attendance record for a women's softball game which wuz established this season when the bears beat the cards at the stanford football season...NEW fans to cal softball both young aka students & old could celebrate together the MAGIC OF CAL SOFTBALL with the program retiring a jersey or two!!


yeah shocky would STORM THE FIELD at memorial stadium if coach spencer's squad won (which would require no bears getting thrown out recklessly running the bases) the BIG GAME!!
