Everything was decent. I preferred dry ribs plus a little sweet heat sauce.

whose ur caddy??
watching them low key interact without a lotta conversation up close last sunday in tahoe max 100% got the right caddie for him right now in lance bennett who is kinda like a quiet stoic bag man for our california golden bear superhero without a lot of unnecessary ******* drama (homa needs to own his shots/decisions just like he did back in the back as a fearless champion junior golfer playing discount golf balls at valencia muni)!!
https://instagr.am/p/CkT9ar2SE1e
collin is waiting to see wut his best friend kk limbhaust wants to do long term (shocky honestly thinks that kk lacks the clubhead speed to compete on the pga tour, he's currently 137th in driving distance on the korn ferry tour)...limbhaust didn't get into the this week's korn ferry tournament after the rankings reshuffle & is currently the 4th alternative for next week's utah championship...kk is currently #169 in the korn ferry rankings with only the top 156 advancing into the 1st round of the playoffs in mid august & his 2026 korn ferry tour card in jeopardy
if morikawa needs a placeholder caddy in memphis either his wife kat (who played golf at nobu malibu pepperdine) or shocky is available to loop for FREE!!
yeah relationships are kinda complex & sometimes timing/responsibilities/dreams affect those relationships...stay tuned baby, life is NOT linear (and nobody can 100% predict the future)
Looks like it’ll be Mark Urbanek (former caddie for Tony Finau) on the bag with Collin Morikawa this week. pic.twitter.com/HmAR0uF1ZA

GREAT news outta the wide receiver room:
Damn, Grayes is yoked!
former 5 star ohio state transfer kyion grayes has finally gotten his body right & is healthy for really the 1st time in his collegiate career, he's gotta opportunity to be a wr1 this fall for them california golden bears!!
shocky saw kyion play at chandler high school back in the day, he had the unreal combination of SPEED & body control
so the monster wuz really interested when he played his 1st game last season in winston-salem at wake forest...shocky dialed in on kyion during the early warm ups & then literally he wuz wide open every time he went into a route with the deacs defensive backs yards away after his hard cuts...caught a couple of balls that night but then grayes got injured again
props to kyion working hard in coach novak's transformative s&c program, coach cefalo demands BLOCKING & grayes now got the body to knock mother******* on their azzs in the ground game!!
plus he got good hair (unlike coach cefalo)

2024 pga tour championship: 4th round update
CONGRATULATIONS to collin morikawa on his closing en fuego 66 to win the 72 hole stroke play tournament!!!:
1. collin morikawa: 22 under par
2. sahith theegala: 21 under par
3. scottie scheffler: 20 under par
fun fact: official world golf ranking points are based upon the 72 stroke play scores, not the convoluted (made for tv) fed ex deal
despite a double bogey 7 finish on the par 5 18th hole ben an shot a 69 & finished at 6 under parScottie and Collin are already having fun @TOURChamp 😂 pic.twitter.com/NFKk98uJww

collin morikawa WON the PGA TOUR championship at east lake last september!!!!
now that the pga has dumped the previous silly dumb azz format of artificially assigning strokes prior to play for this tournament when are the pga tour, golf fans from around the world & the semi legitimate media including gabi, colt knost, nuclear golf, the fried egg, no laying up & club pro guy gonna recognize collin's 2024 victory??
honestly morikawa should get an engraved ******* trophy presented to him at his next tourament & the pga tour record books amended to show/reflect the TRUE champion at east lake!!

2025 ncca championship at la costa: 2nd round update
FUN afternoon with coastal breezes (gusting to 20 mph) in carlsbad with vandalus while walking all 18 holes/coaching up/leading the cheers for true freshman phenom ziqin "eric" zhou who played with collin morikawa like precision shotmaking (leaving himself uphill putts on most holes) & pga level course management (other than laying up with less than driver into a knarly fairway bunker lie on the dogleg right par 4 13th hole & getting short sided & barely escaping with a par 5 on the scoreable 18th hole) en route to a near flawless 68 on a 7500 yard golf course with greens stimping 12+!!Bogey-free effort by the rook 👏

honestly zhou might be the next california golden bear to successfully compete on the pga tour with continued development during his collegiate career in berkeley, the most impressive part of his game are his bullet low ball flight trajectory 2 irons which are only possible because of his fundamentally textbook swing & elite +1 athleticism
yeah shocky is kinda loud cheering for his bears (college tournament crowds are kinda more muted/quiet than the pga tour) & after a couple of enthusiastic "let's go eric, let's do this, go bears" after a couple of holes ziqin's mom who is visiting from china introduced herself & we ended up fist bumping after quite a few of his successfully holed putts...her son is a big fan of coach wilson & intends to major in economics...while walking down the 18th fairway mrs zhou gave me & vandy absolutely tasty pork dumplings from her iced backpack which rival anything in hong kong, it's good to be a hungry california golden bear!!
the 10th place bears are still in a position to qualify for the 8 team match play after 72 holes, gotta get some production from the #5 spot in the starting line up tomorrow...great chatting also with coach desimone (looking healthy!!), blue shirting charlie bundy (who multiple sources tole me will be a key factor in the playing rotation next season, charlie will hear back from the haas biz school in july re: his application) & wiry 2026 commitment graham christopher (we talked at length re: his need for loading up on daily protein grams)

Back in 2017, I was around top 20 or so heading into Sunday. I was a rookie and no one knew me which was why I was surprised and excited when an elderly Korean couple followed me the entire day. They cheered for me all day thru very hot weather. I thought…

calalum, desean wuz a one in trillion talent that could get away with ZERO blocking in college and the national football league...his stardom is NOT a path anybody should emulate unless u got the ability to take an infinite # of 50+ yard punt returns to the house right now!!
fun fact: the bears won this uber competitive recruiting battle over financially wild azz bags from usc due to a berkeley alum in so cal "employing" jackson's moms at his firm during her son's berkeley days
the secret sauce of cal's monster class recruiting a half dozen mcdonalds all americans that got PAID in the national basketball association wuz my friend and world class s&c coach nicodemus christopher (homeless during parts of his childhood) who passionately embraced our yoga/meditation conversations in incorporating that into the bears workouts in getting our ripped guys bodies rite ready for the next level

It still saddens me to think about what could have been if Longshore had not been injured near the end of that game.

And when Oregon hit longshores ankle, it's crazy to think that basically killed tedford

Potentially two great teams derailed by Longshore injuries, because that 2005 team was also amazing if we didn't have to play Ayoob.
