Potentially two great teams derailed by Longshore injuries, because that 2005 team was also amazing if we didn't have to play Ayoob.
2007 could have been salvaged if he just played Riley instead of a clearly injured Longshore the rest of the way.
And the big "what could have been" for 2005 was if Rodgers knew the Niners weren't going to take him and he came back for his senior year with Marshawn as the starter at RB and a freshman Desean Jackson to haul on his bombs.
2007 would have been better with Riley starting, though our chances at winning the conference were probably gone.
