max homa (66, tied for 19th): homa playing like a happy & confident boss man when he won this tournament back to back with an unreal 5 birdies in his last 7 holes of the day including knocking it stiff to 4 feet for a birdie on the par 3 17th hole & then draining a 20 footer for a birdie on the par 5 18th hole to thunderous applause!!...earlier in the round max birdied the diabolical uphill par 3 2nd hole with his wife lacey & their 2 children rooting on dad from their condo for the week just left of the hole, bro got a serious fan club that's always with him from the jump

collin morikawa (71, tied for 43rd): as someone who has watched collin play more tournament rounds than anybody on planet earth (his wife kat usually walks with him but is often a hundred yards away from play & honestly not watching a lotta shots) my advice is that morikawa should go hang with moto before the 2025 ryder cup & work on putting speed drills together

The very strong rumors around UCLA do point to a GM/AD for football. Cal was on the cutting edge of football administration with the hiring of Rivera. He is the perfect candidate for Cal football. Many programs are watching this experiment that Cal (and Stanford) have implemented. Early returns for Cal are very promising. Future Cal opponent VaTech with Cal grad Timothy Sands as President are looking into the exact same sort of arrangement.

Ohio St may not need this sort of arrangement given the success and overwhelming support but places like Cal. UCLA and VaTech likely do. The 2 Co-ADs do need to go. I think they will just not as quickly as we would prefer. But if Cal football ends the season with a good record the momentum will be hard to stop in regards to a change with those 2.

Agreed, free tix to students is a no-brainer. I've argued before that the most important fundraising aspect for the long term business model of the AD is to make sure that future Cal alumni billionaires attended Cal games as students and were Cal fans. We have 22 billionaire alumni and to my knowledge, none of them are big Cal athletics donors.

88, yeah offering FREE tixs to all berkeley students is truly a no brainer, the current discriminatory non inclusive marketing decision to not engaging the next potential berkeley billionaire when they're poor as **** students (those getting the student season pass are not "buying" ****, they got affluent parents from stinson beach & 17 mile drive that are buying the pass for them) is impacting not only current attendance/gameday crowd noise (anybody really happy with saturday nite's attendance??) but also failing to build a future financial pipeline for the university

look some people don't heed the warnings, back in the day my road game seat neighbor (always in the 1st row behind the bears bench) roberta tole me she would always tell her husband to NOT read cal's monster class 24/7/365 all the time to find out wut wuz going on with his basketball program

but coach never could help himself, had to look, had to know
