How was Texas favored? Do betters just not watch west coast football? UW is so much better, have the far superior QB and Sark is terrible..

Who is projected to be UW's quarterback next season?
(I guess I haven't wrapped my head around the fact that that will have absolutely nothing to do with us.)
Former Miss State QB Will RogersQuote:
Former Mississippi State quarterback Will Rogers, who ranks No. 2 in SEC history in passing yards, told ESPN on Friday that he's committed to transferring to Washington.
Rogers is on an official visit at the school this weekend, and he told ESPN he committed to the staff. He has one year of eligibility remaining and will be immediately eligible. Rogers threw for 12,315 yards over four seasons in Starkville.

I am over them and hope we don't have to see them/talk about them but that's the new business model

Florida State did this too, they are getting Uiagalelei who played QB at Oregon State this season and at Clemson before that.

One more quarter like this and UW will beat Texas by the same amount they beat us.
There were posters on here, even mods, that suggested that this pay for play era will be good for Cal football. I was skeptical but cautiously optimistic because i heard our NIL funds were doing well. Now i think the truth rears itself. The unfortunately part is that this pay for play, transfer every year era is going to be TERRIBLE for Cal football.nwbear84 said:BearSD said:TedfordTheGreat said:looks like USC, Oregon and Washington will all reload for 1 year deals on an ongoing basis every. I'm beginning to really hate what I always thought would be the end of college football as we knew it. NIL and maybe even worse, unlimited transfers. But I guess they go hand in hand.

We are going to be like the Oakland As or the Anaheim Angels, we are a farm league for the big guys. As soon as guys do well for a year or two (hunter), they will chase the big dollars at the biggest stage. Oregon got super lucky they got a great run under chip that sets them up for the future. Washington got Petersen and their fortunes are forever changed. "Traditions" can change and fortunes can change. It's an absolute shame that Tedford's era ended the way it did because we were trending up.
We need to hire that superstar coach to go on a run, otherwise, we have to be ok with the occasional 6-6 or 7-5 bowl every 3 years

They arent gonna call that penalty in this game, unless its blatant.

Agree with you.
QB's are going for $2 to $3 million easy and as much as $6 or $7 million according to Utah head coach, Kyle Whittington in a WSJ article this week.

How are we gonna compete with that?

How is Penix, Jr not higher up peoples' draft boards. He is so calm under pressure, always makes the right read, and throws dimes 30 or 40 yards downfield.
that whole injury situation preventing a 30 seconds runoff is crazy. Might as well hv taken a kneeDiabloWags said:

True, but it probably wouldn't have come to that if they hadn't had an incomplete pass on 3rd down when they kicked the FG to go up by 9. If they'd run the ball and made TX burn one of their TOs....Grrrrah76 said:
Wow. Washington's running back injury gave Texas an extra 30 seconds. That doesn't seem fair.
