Probably not. Commited to UCLA today.

Play for a train wreck or block for a heisman quality RB and a proven o-line developer? Would love to know the mental gymnastics for this decision.
Why would fucla look like a train wreck to someone not following the program that closely??? If he gets $, is in the LA area, at a nice campus, playing in a quality conference, they have been to bowl games etc...
It does not look like a train wreck from that perspective.

This was more sour grapes than anything. Hard to compete against an offer from the P2 if football is your # 1 priority so I totally get it. That said, Cal 2024 roster and OL coaching has some unique benefits that can't be had elsewhere.

To be in the Top 1% of all NIL collectives we only need around 3% of alumni to give $100/mo. OR 6% to give $50/mo. Please help spread the word. "If we don't broaden this base we're dead." - Sebastabear

maybe?? UCLA has deep pockets too

"Better degree"

UCLA probably better than U$C, but perhaps a tossup

the college players are changing teams more often than the pros?? they may need to change some rules, tho the law might get in the way, I bet the tampering is rampant even if not legal, got all those mamas and pappas not to mention the agents, they all want mo money, mo money

Tampering is against NCAA rules but it is not illegal. In fact, the rules against tampering are probably illegal.

It is like getting a call from a recruiter from a rival firm. There may be a "gentleman's agreement" not to poach talent among rivals, but if it came to light, especially if it were codified, it would be declared illegal.

It will take an act of Congress to give the NCAA an antitrust exemption to make rules that are enforceable. The other option, rules adopted through a collective bargaining agreement with a players' union that represents every player, does not seem possible to me.

6'3" 285 lbs defensive edge defender wisconsin portal transfer tj bollers from tiffin iowa is currently on an official visit to cal, bollers wuz projected to be a starter for the badgers who are switching to a 3-3-5 defensive scheme...the bears failed to apply consistent pressure on opposing qbs in 2023, bollers would be an integral part of the golden bears d as an apex predator edge defender in the acc this fall if he selects berkeley

tj is not a dumb azz, he got a 4.0 gpa & would be an ideal fit at the #1 ranked public university in the world plus his gf is a curvy brunette yoga female

the bears defensive scheme is changing in 2024 with coach browning's room no longer just engaging offensive linemen but now actually tryna make plays behind the line of scrimmage, this one time alabama recruit got the +1 athleticism & skillset to make violent plays in the backfield at memorial stadium

the university of california, berkeley=#1 ranked public university in the world (for those that wanna build generational wealth thru nfl development in the acc & hard work in the classrooms of berkeley)

Best of luck to Jernigan at Louisville. He'll even get to be back in the Bay to beat Stanford 1 last time.
