I think the loss to Memphis made this game more challenging for us.Sebastabear said:This is 100% right. There are way too many great stories for this game not to be GameDay IF (and it's a huge if) Cal can take another flight across the country and beat another football blue blood. Make no mistake. FSU is more talented than Auburn up and down the roster. They are a wounded giant animal. Eventually they will pull it together but hopefully not this week. IF we win and IF Miami wins, GameDay is coming to Berkeley. Book it.Quote:
As well, any noise or online hype for GD in Berkeley and enthusiasm generated by our program's revival, the ACC realignment, the emergence of Miami as the top contender in the conference, and the side stories of a kid from Miami who dreamt of playing for the Canes now leading Cal against them, and their QB from Wazzou now being the top favorite for the Heisman, all of these items are going to factor in their choice, star power and side stories galore.
I don't know. Should the playoff snub have fired them up for Georgia. Shouldn't the UGA massacre and lawsuit drama have fired them up for GT. Shouldn't have the GT embarrassment turned them into monsters against Memphis. The Memphis loss was the one they really needed?
This is Cal so of course we could find a way to lay an egg. But if we rattle DJU early, our back 7 could turn his day into nightmare. Let's get another dude benched this weekend!
