Another failure, Cal needs to have a play ready to go when there is a questionable play, and they need to go far. No shifting, no motion, just get up to the line and snap the ball.

Not getting lined up to run a play when you know you need to go quick is unacceptable and it's entirely on coaching. EVERY team has a hot call that they run 1000x a season to get a play off quick even if it's just a basic run. The fact that we run so many of those plays regularly but don't have one in the chamber is just stupid

We decided to go empty backfield for some reason so it took time for the player in the backfield to run across the field to line up.

It starts with focusing on the fundamentals. Players need to reminded to not move presnap.

Then accountability. If you make stupid mistakes, you don't play. Tedford would bench (non starting) RBs for fumbles.

You want to play football? Stop sucking.

We pulled a guy for PI. We don't pull linemen for ****ing up. As though it could possibly get worse.

Second time this season we failed in that situation. Like holy ****, just snap the ball and run it. They were motioning to a empty? Easily could've snapped that ball before the review.
