I'm done commenting, this sucks. Next week will be better, but no one will care. There was so much opportunity this season and LIKE ALWAYS it just disappears in a mix of bad play, bad coaching, bad refs, and bad all-around.
Please give another kicker-a chance. Two years in a-row. Unbearable kicking. And we are paying thisbguy?

What? Fernando was the only reason we were still in this game. Not his fault the coaches took the ball away from him at winning time.
Well, that looked familiar. Our defense kept us in the game. This was very winnable. It's honestly hard to overstate how bad our OL and FG kicking are. We will continue to look like this as long as Wilcox is still HC.

Answer: nothing. The loss was not because Mendoza played bad.

Last week Wilcox didn't personally take responsibility for the loss. He kept saying "we". This one is on him, penalties, bad coaching decisions, the decision to go with Rogers when everybody knows he's not going to pass and then setting up Coe to fail because he refuses to go for a first down and gives a bad kicker a 40-yard try. Ridiculous.
Fernando didn't lose us the game. 27/37 for 272 yards, 1 TD, 0 INTs is not a benchable performance. And a bunch of those incompletions came at the end when they knew we had to throw for big yards. I doubt Rogers does anywhere close to that based on what we've seen from him this year.GoOskie said:A change up. We were less than 5 points from going 6-0. Without OTT, Vatikani etc. the wins come down to kicking. We need a kicker

This loss is very similar to the FSU loss, many missed opportunities, and the worst PK in Cal history.
