Don't play Rogers. There's nothing hidden when he comes in. It's a run play.

What? Fernando was the only reason we were still in this game. Not his fault the coaches took the ball away from him at winning time.

We win this game running away if we go with Fernando throwing quick passes deeper than 10 yards play after play.

He played great despite our idiot OC putting him in 3rd and longs all day (again)

Last week Wilcox didn't personally take responsibility for the loss. He kept saying "we". This one is on him, penalties, bad coaching decisions, the decision to go with Rogers when everybody knows he's not going to pass and then setting up Coe to fail because he refuses to go for a first down and gives a bad kicker a 40-yard try. Ridiculous.
After the last touchdown it is now really damn obvious where a lot of our issues arise

Why?!? Mendoza is the only reason we kept this one close. It's not his fault his OL can't block a single defender.
Nofado

They should have kept Mendoza in on 3rd down and tried for the first. Cutting 4 yards to a kick does very little.

The boys in blue keep teasing us. This one hurts just as much as last week. I personally don't blame the coaches. They don't play the game, the players do. Offensive line was horrible today. The kicker, well…

We thought we just needed a QB for so long with Wilcox. But it's clear that isnt the problem. He wants a vanilla, conservative, basic offense that plays ultra safe. It had nothing to do with the QB. This isn't ever going to change no matter who he hires.

Well, that looked familiar. Our defense kept us in the game. This was very winnable. It's honestly hard to overstate how bad our OL and FG kicking are. We will continue to look like this as long as Wilcox is still HC.

The snap and hold were just a little off. The kicker ended up kicking the ball with his body farther ahead of the ball than he wanted it to be. Don't we practice this stuff?

Did the players decide to go for 2 points for no reason? Did the players decide to settle for a long field goal on first down- knowing we have a terrible kicker?

We win this game running away if we go with Fernando throwing quick passes deeper than 10 yards play after play.
Then after doing that repeatedly we run occasionally into light boxes for gashing gains with our speedy backs. Then back to the quick passes. The strategy is so obvious.

Mendoza and the receivers (+ dbs) are the best part of this team. You're out your mind.

Who recruits the players, particularly the OL?
Who recruits the kicker?

I absolutely do blame the coaches for not even trying to score a TD on the last long drive. Get to the red zone, then three runs up the middle and leaving it up to a shaky kicker. You can't defend that choice. It's simply bad strategy.

Thinking changing QBs will change something is the refuge of the dimwitted. It's so rare it that people will cite examples from generations ago to show it can happen.

Stop looking dejected out there, this is ON YOU. You put your players in a position to fail WEEK after WEEK.

It's called the Mark Fox look. Even during loss 16 in a row he was shaking his head and pacing like he was the hardest working man in show bidness.

Seriously the difference between 6-0 and 3-3 was 4 field goals. We do not need to change QBs we don't need to change coaching. We put up 38 on Miami. We just need to take the point when they are there.

We need a kicker.

Over the past four games, Cal has allowed more sacks than any other team in the country. They are averaging over 5 sacks allowed per game. If I'm Mendoza, I'm gone after this season, if for no other reason than to avoid dying.

His body language is very low self esteem. I don't see him on the sideline practicing his kicks either. I think he should be doing that.

The kicker that we ran off is 9-10 on FGs and 4-4 on PATs, with a long of 54 yards.

Seriously... Taking the ball away from Mendoza and giving it to Rogers in key plays to watch Roger do absolutely less than nothing...

And then asking to start him?

You need inpatient help. It's so mind-blowing it MUST be some kind of TBI.

If we kick the XP on the first TD instead of inexplicably going for 2 (like we are a hood short yardage team?) or if we kept driving instead of playing to set up the FG, then we wouldn't have the kid to blame.

I agree replacing a quarterback that throws 300 yards a game for a quarterback that runs 50 yards a game at best. What's the benefit there?

Mendoza was going to the Ivy League before we offered, we won't lose him unless a major program throws him a massive deal
