To me, the worse loss at ucla under Tedford was the most awful (also because I went to that game)

This one now takes the cake (glad I didn't make the effort to go)

If you mean the 2011 loss yeah the whole team was flat that game and it was bad but tonight, Florida State last year, 2022 Colorado and 2021 Arizona were all much worse than that, and happened under the same coach

We are not Florida that can ride it out the rest of the year and then have top candidates to select from, we are fighting for our lives and need to make changes now or JKS and others will be looking elsewhere

I was about to say San Diego State will maybe get to 4-5 wins in the Mountain West and they beat us by 5 scores

At least on TV I didn't see any leaders on the team getting in guys faces or pulling them together. I just kept seeing stoic coach stalking the sidelines and players lining up for the next play. Ho hum.

Cal's only saving grace is that Clemson lost today so the media (especially in ACC territory) will talk about that more than about Cal's faceplant.

Agree. The team showed no life tonight, and neither did the coaching staff. Seems like they've all quit. It's past time for Wilcox to go. Lyons or Rivera should fire Wilcox tonight or tomorrow morning at the latest. But this being Cal, they won't. This is Cal, and we're accustomed to mediocrity.

WR and RB talent is lacking. This will be another 6-6 season. Time for Wilcox to go. None of the coaches on this staff should be retained. Clean house.

6-6 looks like the upside after tonight. Going into the season I predicted 5-7; that still looks likely to me.
