They said that the Dodgers were shut out for all three games in a series for just the second time since moving to Los Angeles. That's no small feat.

So how many loses at home in a row? 12 and counting?
If the Dodgers had a healthy pitching staff this lead would be 10 to 12 games by now.

And if the Dodgers had won 3 World Series in the last five years I would be impressed. But they haven't won anything in a really long time. So congratulations on leading the division in June.

And some teams that win 95+ CAN'T win the WS because they CHOKE in the playoffs. But I'm sure you'd have the same response if the beloved Smog Dogs had won WS getting in as a wild card team, right?

As much as I hate his user name, the guy's got a point. For this reason, I don't hold my team's one WS trophy in the same light as ones well before it. I'll always love MLB but the postseason is just a different animal.

This is kind of backwards, or at the very least it can be turned on its head. More teams make the playoffs now, but you have to win a lot more games to win the whole thing. It was a lot easier to win 4 games than it is now to win 11.

Pardon me, but let me explain to you that they don't award championships based on the regular season records. And actually, they never did. There's this event that's called the playoffs, ending in the World Series. You should check it out some sometime.
