They said that the Dodgers were shut out for all three games in a series for just the second time since moving to Los Angeles. That's no small feat.

Previous time was also against the Giants, just 3 years ago.

Quite a turnaround. Wouldn't have seen this coming a month ago.

Tonight, Posey put on an MVP performance to honor his fellow Most Valuable Player, Steph Curry (who looked sharp in his Giants cap and jacket). For fans of the Warriors and Giants, these are the golden days.

So how many loses at home in a row? 12 and counting?
If the Dodgers had a healthy pitching staff this lead would be 10 to 12 games by now.

And if the Dodgers had won 3 World Series in the last five years I would be impressed. But they haven't won anything in a really long time. So congratulations on leading the division in June.

EDIT: typed this on the way back to my office from a Giants home victory. Timmy did his job today.

Ifs are for losers.... That is why you don't see Giants fans crying about Cain or Peavy. Suck it up and deal with it.....

Leading the division in June is a great accomplishment for the Dodgers.

Come on man, losing this many in a row at home (esp. to teams like the Braves and D-backs) is pretty darn bad no matter what the context. But but dynasty ...

What does that mean? Best team in division now third year. Just because baseball made it easy to make playoffs so....sub 90 win teams can battle in WS. Baseball was about proving it over 162 not 15 game crap shoot.

And some teams that win 95+ CAN'T win the WS because they CHOKE in the playoffs. But I'm sure you'd have the same response if the beloved Smog Dogs had won WS getting in as a wild card team, right?

No. Baseball is a sport you established superiority over 162 games. Not being mediocre and winning coin flip game.

Bow to the regular season best record holder, whose #5 starter is slightly less useless than your average useless #5 starter!

As much as I hate his user name, the guy's got a point. For this reason, I don't hold my team's one WS trophy in the same light as ones well before it. I'll always love MLB but the postseason is just a different animal.

The post season is a different animal. You must win against the best teams and players.

This is kind of backwards, or at the very least it can be turned on its head. More teams make the playoffs now, but you have to win a lot more games to win the whole thing. It was a lot easier to win 4 games than it is now to win 11.

Pardon me, but let me explain to you that they don't award championships based on the regular season records. And actually, they never did. There's this event that's called the playoffs, ending in the World Series. You should check it out some sometime.
