Steiner said during the game that exactly a year ago, the Dodgers were 5 games behind the Giants in the division. And they're 12 games up so far this season. So that's a 17 game spread over the last 365 days. It would be nice, for the sake of a rivalry that we all enjoy, if the Giants tried a little harder.

What on earth is wrong with the Giants? I haven't been following them. Is it injuries or just a lot of bad seasons for their better players? Coaching? Pitching?
