I don't want to see him, period.

A close friend of mine who went to high school with Tosh said he was psyched up about the Dykes hiring and the possibility of working with DeWayne Walker to build a recruiting powerhouse in Berkeley for years to come, according to my sources.
Is Petersen still on the radar according to your sources? :p

Wow, truly hell hath no fury like a mediocre college football team fanbase scorned.
Get over it guys.
Tosh, as a former Cal player, did more for the Cal football program than any of you who are not former players have done or will ever do. And that includes all the mega-rich, personal injury lawyer boosters out there. He made some poor choices, but so did Tedford.
Now, Tedford is thankfully out of Berkeley and so let's welcome back Tosh to his alma mater and let this highly valuable and talented young man help his program get back on track and finally lead us to the Rose Bowl with the new coaching staff.

I think people deserve a chance to make mistakes in life and move on from it.
With that said, we are nowhere near that with Tosh.
One thing that Sandy said during yesterday's presser that I really liked was that we did this the "right way." She really stressed this.
Maybe it's just lip service but I think it's something we should always strive for at Cal.

Let's be real - if we had a top 10 team, NONE OF ME would care about the APR scores. Using the APR scores as an excuse to bag on To$h is laughable.
At this point, I dont care to have To$h back but Im not going to use arguments like - "oh he brought players who didnt care academically." They got into the school through admissions, and therefore they were obviously qualified to come here. Yeah they do not do well WHILE being here, but that is not To$h's fault.

From what I've heard, Tosh isn't coming back any time soon, and it isn't just about burned bridges.
First of all, you can't equate poor ethical choices that Tosh made to poor strategic choices Tedford made. There will be a lot of employers that would have trouble with how he handled leaving Cal. You don't want to get screwed like that.
But, from what I've heard, Tosh was a walking compliance disaster and the AD was consistently having to clean up his messes. He also gets a lot of the blame for the downturn in academic success. Because of this, I believe that even if Tosh had left in an impeccable manner, he would not be brought back. It's not just a matter of being scorned.

While that may be true, the same is true of a lot of other people who didn't also turn around and stab us in the back. I'm saving my good wishes and warm fuzzies for them.

I would. I don't relate this issue to Tosh, but I have no interest in winning while becoming an academic embarrassment like Louisville basketball under Crum.

I'm willing to put the Tosh drama behind us if he wants to come back for 2 reasons.
1)Our recruiting classes will be ridiculous under dykes and tosh
2)It will F up Sark and Washington for years to come

100% agree. I've been hard on Tedford because he hasn't produced results. If Tosh can come aboard and help us to a Rose Bowl, I could not care less about him having "burned a bridge". I'd take an apology and just know the type of guy you're dealing with.
I don't even fault him for leaving for more $. Not like JT ever gave us a hometown discount for giving him a chance. How many of us would give our current employers a loyalty discount double check?
