Okay that's a fair point. It was also a good road win against a P5 team.

However 650 yards is 650 yards. We'll see how Texas progresses. He might be a superstar in the making, and there's little tape on him. Still...650 yards brings memories of last season.

It's annoying but not many teams outside Oregon have QBs that can do what Heard was doing tonight.

I switched to azul Tequila to celebrate, after making it through the game on scotch. Yes, the defense has some serious problems, but I like the fight on this team and, oh by the way, we won.

Watching the Longhorn Network post game. They are very upbeat. Feel like they have a quarterback and an offense now. They don't realize every Big 5 qb looks like a heisman candidate against us.

on the flipside, they just walked away from a 1-point loss to the best QB they'll face all year, and probably the 2nd best offense they'll face all year, next to TCU.

the texas wideouts sat in the open parts of the zone which became more open as heard wandered around and guys began to drift out of their zones. it's a problem related to no pressure which is exacerbated by our need to stay lane disciplined against a guy like heard (not that it helped)

no. there is NOONE we play this year like Heard. lockie isn't very mobile and adams isn't anything near the athlete Heard is

Pretty good meltdown for a road victory over a storied program. If the breaks went differently we win going away by 3 TDs. As it is, we win a close one.

The real concerns from today were the inprovement shown by UW and the fact that furd whooped SC. Neither development bodes well for us. I am starting to have my doubts about is getting to 8 wins but not from anything that happened in Austin.

I loved how we gave them hope only to crush it at the end. Maybe Mack Brown is feeling like crud somewhere in Texas, or maybe it doesn't bother him. In any case, Cal won and beat Texas.
