NO ... reloading is necessary, competition for playing time for many, building depth for the future.
We use many WRs ... check our recent departures who all played extensively but not exclusively.

if we had 1 or 2 players as dominant as AJ Brown, we wouldn't need to be rotating 8 guys a game. but, given how we have a bunch of good, but not great players, it's necessary to keep guys fresh.

That's what i thought when we won 8 games. Now after Sonny's best season at Cal and with a bowl win, we're looking at a mid-30s ranked class

last year, people said we will recruit better in 2016 as long as we won more games. we finished #29 and with >3.0 star average.

this year, #33 and dropping with <3.0 star average.

At this point he was either referring to Goode "re-affirming" his commitment or Zion Echols.

No, not Amy. She does still lurk, but has mostly moved on.

Our corners have improved from DIII level to fair. Still undersized and not really physical. Could they improve a lot? Maybe.

Our backup receivers who are returning haven't shown a lot, indicating that there is not much speed/physicality there. This last receiving group needed some fast dudes to open up the O. Those guys would have played IF they existed.

I'm taking this to be a good sign relative to Echols.

Sonny and Co. are competing with Mountain West schools for quite a number of recruits. They're not winning many battles against the other California schools, whose commit lists are littered with Cal offers. It's gonna be an uphill battle to break the status quo for this staff.
