Good question but Baylor is not releasing players from their LOI

Caught in the web of corruption ... and kept there, being punished, held captive by Baylor, for football.
Sportsmanship is dead at Baylor. And silence in defense of the LOI prisoners.

Ken Starr back in the news with some incredibly tone-deaf comments. It is amazing how some people are so lacking in self awareness.

Quote:

Former Baylor president and chancellor Kenneth Starr defended former Bears football coach Art Briles on Saturday, saying he was unfairly criticized by the media for his handling of allegations of sexual assault against some of his players.

During an interview at the Texas Tribune Festival in Austin, Starr said Briles was an "honorable man who conducted an honorable program."

"Briles has devoted his life to molding the lives of young men," Starr said. "A grave injustice was done to Art Briles. Coach Briles has been [calumniated] ... it's completely unfair.

"I have great confidence to this day in Coach Briles. I believe he's an honorable person."

LOL, saw that report of reaching out to Briles. Herman could be tied up for a while if Houston is still even a thought for the CFB playoff. He's hot enough that he can make a suitor wait if hats what he wants... And hot enough host he could have his choice of jobs after NEXT season if he stay at UH to farther their expansion push. Have to imagine he's out as soon as that is officially denied.

I wish there were more rules about hiring coaches during the current season. It's almost a necessity, but really makes things a merry go round. I'd say move the commit it period back 4-6 weeks, and have limits on when coaches who are changing schools can recruit. Maybe have a dead period until the end of the playoff and slightly past to let things shake out a bit so that a majority of the turnover can happen but get rid of the incentive to leave in Nov/Dec, which in turn give teams an incentive to fire even earlier to get a jump.

"...murder, cheating and rape" is part of the recent culture at Baylor. Surely there are jobs waiting for xCoach Briles at uMiami and $uSC.

Does SMU need a coach? Didn't Craig James kill a hooker there? Seems like he covered all three in one.

I thought Craig James was reported on Shaggy to have killed 5 hookers at SMU ? Google it.
