This game is really ugly. Are we really this bad? It may be time to bench Bowers. Granted his OL is doing a terrible job of protecting him, but he holds onto the ball too long, he doesn't feel the defensive pressure, and he doesn't appear to see the entire field very well. Don't think I've ever seen a QB play a worst game.

We WILL get shutout if we keep trotting out this crap in the 2nd half.

To be fair I saw a lot of problems with Baldwin's offense against Weber State. And I said it was awful against Ole Miss (which it was). Even with a full deck, Baldwin's Cal offense has been terrible. Now it's nonexistent. Yes injuries are a problem, a lot of which were caused by Baldwin's poor coaching. Vicious circle. Baldwin needs to go.

Worst half of Cal football I have ever seen. I know we don't have world beaters but we need to at least run some kind of misdirection. No play action or screen game. No reverses. Just letting Washington dominate us with a 4 man rush. Giving this offense zero chance at success. Say what you will about Dykes, at least he kept other teams guessing to offset the talent gap.

The spread offense haters are grasping at straws right now this offense sucks. It's sucked all year. It's not just personel. Wilcox needs to make some major changes on offense in the off season. What recruit will want to play on the worse offense in CFB?

I am not sure it is offense. essentially bot our lines are horrifically bad when compared to top teams. We will get crushed AGAIN by the Furd. Get ready for it guys. So sick of this.

But at least it seems I have a huge major penalty to look forward to for Arizona Basketball.

Not even the #1 draft pick. Not Rodgers if he had ended up with the 49ers.

You should see what Arizona's running QB did to CU today - and many here had the Mildcats pencilled in as one of our Ws.

Hold on now. We beat NC there, and ol Miss, from the SEC. throw in the Weber's, and we were Bowl bound. I read it here.

I admit, I predicted one win, so I am impressed.

At least recruits should feel good about a solid chance starting as freshman.

So you'd prefer a 60 yard FG attempt which has a better chance at being returned for a TD than being good? I'll take a 2% chance at 7 vs. a 3% chance at 3. And before you say the INT could be returned, too, save it. Cal offense (with extra WR) has a far better chance stopping a return than the FG team against Pettis.

I want to like this team, I really do, but this first half has been an epic fail.

Bowers- are you allergic of throwing the ball away? I hate to break it to you, but you lack P5 footspeed (it's ok we can work with that), so you need to quickly diagnosis pressure and pull the trigger on throwing the ball away. Your spin move is cute, but by now enough defenses have seen it on film and are prepared for it. Expand the repitoire.

Offensive play calling - has been the most conservative at Cal in a long time. Can we open up a series with a pass beyond the line of scrimmage? Yes I know there are injuries, but the one thing Dykes did leave us with is a decent WR corps. Let's get some mid range routes going, tired of these screens that get blown up behind the LOS.

Extremely disappointed with the offense. Seems like we are making a habit out of burning the first half trying to set up comeback efforts in the second - there's got to be a better way.

This game is further proof of what I posted this past week - Bowers is not the answer long-term and doesn't learn from his mistakes moreover, this will be a Bruce Snyder type reclamation project. Dykes was a mistake hire - Wilcox is not and will have to be given time.

He's had more than a second on a few plays, and the result has not been good. He's just slow to react.
