Exactly. Play reserves to give them experience and spare the starters from possible injury.Strykur said:TouchedTheAxeIn82 said:
The announcers have already tuned out the game in front of them.
It's over, the only question is the final score.

Washington is legitimately the #6 team in the country, and may possibly be in the top 4. Our defense has performed well and specifically has shown improvement against the run. The offense would be a work in progress without injuries to our top 3 WRs, TB, and TE.CaliforniaEternal said:
It's pretty clear now that Cal is simply awful, and that UNC and Ole Miss are likewise bottom dwellers in their respective conferences. Damn that false hope starting out 3-0!
Your shtick is funny. So disregard who we lost from last year, the injuries, a QB who had never started a game and a completely new scheme and we should fire Baldwin? By the way, you do realize Dykes had two QBs that ended up in the NFL, right? Bowers may not even be our starter next year. Let's wait until the season is over and how this turns out before calling for heads.Uthaithani said:Strykur said:
Everybody spent the first 3 games ragging on Dykes and his Air Raid, our defense now keeps us in games but when our offense is limp dick and everybody knows it, we're dead to rights.
To be fair I saw a lot of problems with Baldwin's offense against Weber State. And I said it was awful against Ole Miss (which it was). Even with a full deck, Baldwin's Cal offense has been terrible. Now it's nonexistent. Yes injuries are a problem, a lot of which were caused by Baldwin's poor coaching. Vicious circle. Baldwin needs to go.

The run defense showed improvement against some really weak teams. Granted, that's better than what they showed under Kaufman but the interior DL is still lacking big time. A lot of the defense's improvement has been from turnovers, also against really bad teams.southseasbear said:Washington is legitimately the #6 team in the country, and may possibly be in the top 4. I don't think I have ever been this uninterested in a Cal game. I'm emotionally numb.
