UCLA lost 49-3 tonight and furd lost 49-22 to a team we beat last week. Anything can happen but it's way too premature to assume the worst for those games.

blocking, tackling, pass rush, catching passes, accurate passes.
These are fundamentals that Cal should have down at this stage of the season.
When Tedford came in, Cal did not have problems in these areas.
Cal has actually regressed in these areas this year for some reason.
Not sure why.

Great game Cal - we do more damage to our fan base when we drum up excitement for big games we can never deliver in.

It's almost like we don't pay for good coaches while everyone else competing at this level (power 5 conferences) does.

Have to recruit more and better depth at pretty much every position. USC's 3rd string QB is carving up the Bears D. Think about that -- Slovis was their 3rd best QB at the start of the season. Have the Bears had 3 QBs in the last 30 years who were better than Slovis? I can only think of two.

Can't expect to beat USC very often unless and until the Bears' recruiting improves drastically.

He hasn't been good, but that was not pass interference. The WR initiated contact all the way. Ref screwed him.
