So who wants to start an over/under on when he's canned?

The more we lose, the better the chance unless losing close counts.

One of the dumbest things I've heard all day and I work with middle schoolers.
Most middle schoolers know when they have no chance to win a basketball game. The same can't be said for the WJ defenders on BI, and, unfortunately, our AD.

Lost tonight by 25 to a team that had lost 7 in a row.

Now 0-14 and has lost 22 in a row against Pac-12.

Go Bears!

Actually, with all the hate thrown at him, if he is not fired, I would not be surprised if Jones resigned at the end of the season. Only the cash would tempt me to keep such a job, and it would not be enough to endure this punishment.
WJ has at least several million reasons to soldier on if he is not fired. It's only "punishment" if WJ pays attention to it. Also, millions of $$ can assuage hurt feelings rather effectively imho.

As bad as the Pac12 is this season, we could potentially find a decent coach to get this team into the conference tourney championship game.

How about "Is Trump out of the White House yet?" Then "When will Trump begin his sentence at his subsequent Federal accommodation?"

Those are fantastic questions, too.
But I don't ever recall there being a law against having a raging house party upon the death of someone who is greatly despised.

Concord: If someone kills Trump and points to your post which says, " Is Trump dead yet." will you take some responsibility for the killing??Or, will you say, " Oh golly gee---I really didn't mean it'?
concordtom

Neither.
I will throw a party.

Okay, wait, edit that.
If someone kills him, I will not throw a party.
Murder is wrong.
Murder is a crime.

If he somehow is kicked from office, or if he dies of natural causes, I will throw a party.

I do not advocate violence. It would be horrible for our country if anyone attempted any violence on anyone.
I do fancy the idea of trump's death, however.
Heart attack, or tripping down stairs would be even better.

You see, if he merely gets impeached, he will rally America with lies. He will advocate rising up and using physical means to resurrect himself. Just listen to his buddy Roger Stone:

Thus, death by natural causes would not be an unfortunate series of events.
Violence against the president would be horrible because it would lead to many unfortunate series of events.
I have nothing to "take back", HTP, because I never advocated any violence by anyone, neither as an originator nor in retailiation. The difference between Roger and me is he seems to encourage violence, he got very excited about it there. I do not.

This IS a sports page. That IS NOT a sports analogy. An example of a sports analogy would be "has Igor Kokoskov been fired yet?"

IMHO it's a leadership analogy which is relevant to both sports and to politics. I see Wyking's situation as somewhat similar to a president coming into a bad situation, not of their own making, and without adequate experience for the job. One example in my lifetime might be Gerald Ford, who had to follow Nixon but at least had been a prominent representative in the House. That's like a successful mid-major coach stepping into a meltdown at a power program. Another could be Jimmy Carter, who had to deal with skyrocketing oil prices and the Iran embassy situation with experience only as governor of a mid-size state. That could resemble a D-2 coach coming into a down period at a power program. Neither made the best of their situations nor were re-elected.

I don't think Trump is relevant as he stepped into a reasonable situation with no political experience. I would liken that to a sports commentator becoming coach of a solid basketball program. The other disconnect is character, I'd consider it unjustified and disrespectful to compare Wyking to Trump in that aspect.

no reason to fire him now that the season is lost.. You will end up with an assistant coach who will not get hired, and you will leave the players more confused.

Concord: I think your rhetoric is dangerous. According to my source, (I'm active in political circles) there have been six attempts to date to harm the President. These attempts almost never get publicized for obvious reasons. You don't want to agitate the crazies/uninformed. In our country, if you are not pleased with the head of the executive branch, we have an election every four years. If the person is re-elected, it means most folks disagree with you. If he is not re-elected, it means most folks agree with you. That's the beauty of our system. Also, in our country, not liking someones' character is not grounds for impeachment . Absent legal malfeasance ( provable high crimes and misdemeanors ) presidents are constitutionally given the opportunity too serve either one or two terms. Advocating harm or publicly hoping or wishing for harm is a very slippery slope indeed . The veneer of civilization is very, very thin and, as a result, this country settles our differences at the ballot box. We are not yet China, Russia, iran, Cuba or Venezuela or most countries in Africa or the Middle East. We used to teach the Constitution in our public schools . Old graybeards on this board remember Civic s being taught in the early years. Not anymore. According to a recent study, most Americans have less knowledge of our political system than recent immigrants taking the citizenship exam. Civilizations do not automatically endure forever. Please seeRome. We are a nation of laws---not men. when we reverse that, we are asking for trouble.

I am intolerant. Prejudiced as well. When I find out someone voted for Trump, I immediately form all sorts of preconceptions about them and I automatically decide that person is stupid.

There was a time I was willing to agree to disagree with people who had different political views than mine. That ended with Trump supporters. They knowingly put a man who is wholly unqualified for the office and endangered my country as a result. I have no sympathy for them or their stupidity.

I'm also intolerant of Cal sports fans who tolerate poor coaching, but I won't expand on that topic.

1. Trump was claiming the election was rigged long before Election Day. He would not commit to accepting results upon his expected loss. And you want to come on here and give me a lecture and claim the high ground? What a farce!

2. We did not settle our election at the ballot box. We settle it in the electoral college. If you were right, Gore and Hillary would have been President. Electoral college exists because founding fathers did not trust the electorate to make a wise decision. They were right to fear that. Unfortunately, the execution of the plan to stop a "STUPID" populace has not served us well! It turns out, in some senses, the populace should have had the final say.
Gore > Bush Jr
Hillary > Trump
Both won the popular vote, and would have been better Presidents.

3. No, the USA is not promised forever existence. It will be the debt that takes us out, not my ranting. Trump has expanded the deficit. Shame shame!

4. Just admit it. You f'ed up by voting for trump!
