I'm sure there is…but I recall, I think, that it happened slowly last year, as the coaches did a great job of finding the right mix, not just adding bodies. And perhaps there might be additional exits? Idk

Looking back on Calbears.com, we didn't learn about Jayda Noble signing with the Bears until late April last year. Kayla Williams signed in early May, while Gisella Maul was a few weeks later. We signed Natalia Ackerman in August.
Sidebar: UCLA's entire 2024 freshmen class (4 players) are now in the portal. This includes their 5-star 6'3 center, Zania Socka-Nguemen from Washington DC. All appear to be looking for more playing time. We have it for her!
I peeped an instagram story from 6'1" rising junior forward McCray (in the portal out of Wisconsin) who average 10ppg 7rpg last season. looks like she was in Berkeley today!
Her stats look like those of an interior player: FG% (.567) almost as good as FT% (.625), no threes, lots of rebounds (7.4), 0.3 A/TO. Does anyone know about her defense?wbbilluminati said:

When I read that article, I began to wonder if The Chronicle's Marisa Ingemi reads Bear Insider and this forum, in particular. lol.
She mentions some of the same names we've added to the discussion here. Namely, Jenessa Cotton, Carter McCray, Izela Arenas, Vanessa de Jesus, Laura Ziegler.
I like her idea of adding Utah's Gianna Kneepkens for her 3-point shooting prowess (Krimili 2.0).

Espn.com is reporting that UCLA will see forward Janiah Barker and guard Londynn Jones enter the portal. Plus, last year's freshmen class. Wow! Make it to the Final Four and then your roster collapses afterwards. Yikes!!

Of the names mentioned I'd most like to see Cotton - 6' 2" forward, from California, and will be a soph. Ziegler also sounds interesting but AFAIK she has only one year of eligibility.

Some names I heard were Georgia Tech's Kara Dunn and Cleveland State's Jordana Reisma along with all the other names in the post. Jordana looks a lot like Marta Suarez.
Jordana is also a 6' 3" forward but in her career has attempted zero threes.

I'm not saying it is or it isn't, but it doesn't seem like a no-brainer, especially if you're from Ohio.
West Virginia had a very good team last year. And it is close to Ohio (the Ohio river separates it). If she is from Eastern Ohio, then she is in driving distance for her family.
I'm going to share what I have found out carefully, but if some of you who can come up with a few NIL bucks: Cal has real interest from a player that is very good, and we would all be happy to have. The interest is mutual, she is still in play, and not sure how much more Charmin needs but.....bearchamp said:

Vanessa de Jesus is now going to Notre Dame. It was almost better not knowing the prospects before, so I wouldn't be disappointed.
