That's not a nice thing to say about Jill Biden. I'm sure she's not likely to have any more children.bearister said:

What kind of moron quotes Bill Kristol? Nobody is a more owned mother****er than that guy over the last several years.bearister said:
Have you heard of hydroxycloroquine? Here's a primer. According to a noted self-proclaimed PhD, "COVID is really no big deal because we have the solution in our hands." Was he wrong?hanky1 said:I agree with Joe.LMK5 said:

Nothing could've been done. Virus gonna virus.
Ironic that he and all the libs criticize Trump when they now openly admit nothing could've been done. LOL
Actually, HCQ has been credited with containing the virus--or the worst effects of it--in India: https://health.economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/pharma/why-icmr-continues-to-stand-firm-on-using-hydroxychloroquine-as-prophylaxis/76172274Unit2Sucks said:Have you heard of hydroxycloroquine? HCQ has been credited for lots of things, frequently by quacks and charlatans. The quacks that some people here liked to refer to early in the pandemic claimed that HCQ was a game-changing therapeutic. Once it became obvious that it wasn't helping people with severe COVID (a small fraction of cases), they said well you need to give it earlier to people who aren't yet that sick. Most of those people never got that sick, even absent HCQ, but they claimed great results. The article you posted concedes that HCQ isn't a helpful therapeutic but claims that it's a prophylactic. So even that article runs counter to hankPhD's infamous propaganda post on HCQ.LMK5 said:Actually, HCQ has been credited with containing the virus--or the worst effects of it--in India: https://health.economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/pharma/why-icmr-continues-to-stand-firm-on-using-hydroxychloroquine-as-prophylaxis/76172274Unit2Sucks said:Have you heard of hydroxycloroquine? My co-worker (from Chennai) has also mentioned this to me.
Quote:
Facebook users have been sharing a post saying anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine prevented a "catastrophic COVID disaster in an Indian slum". This claim is partly false the drug was given as a preventive measure to some residents of a densely-populated neighbourhood in Mumbai, but the Indian government, the World Health Organization and officials that Reuters spoke to attributed the success in curbing the spread of the virus in the area to a host of other factors. Studies have also shown that the drug is ineffective against the virus.
Does you "co-worker" have actual proof of it benefits or are they a conspiracy theory believing right wing nut job like you?LMK5 said:Actually, HCQ has been credited with containing the virus--or the worst effects of it--in India: https://health.economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/pharma/why-icmr-continues-to-stand-firm-on-using-hydroxychloroquine-as-prophylaxis/76172274Unit2Sucks said:Have you heard of hydroxycloroquine? I'm just joking around. However, I would like for Biden to get tougher with the schools reopening as long as he's talking science, science, and more science. I don't hear him talking about keeping airplanes on the ground until we can operate them safely ... or Home Depot ... or Target. Why the schools? They're safer than those places so why are they being treated as some kind of special case? Sooner or later he'll have to put the hammer down even with the political costs involved.Unit2Sucks said:LMK5 said:Wow, Joe's going all in like a riverboat gambler. Would you rather he constantly lied about the state of the pandemic like the last guy? How about if he said "You have 9 million people, and the 9 million people within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero."
Isn't it refreshing to have a president who might actual underpromise and over deliver? When's the last time we had one of those? After 4+ years of overpromising and delivering absolutely nothing of value, I'm willing to give this guy a chance.
I have to say, if we meet our vaccine rollout objectives and the cases recede the way many expect, I will be extremely disappointed if we aren't able to have large gatherings by 4th of July. I'm not asking for Memorial Day, but give me Independence Day. I also would like to squash any notion of schools not opening as normal in the fall. I wasn't in the "enough is enough" club after a few weeks like many of our brethren here, but I'm going to be there this summer.

They're trying to delicately rewrite history by slowly but surely ratcheting down the social distance spacing to precisely 6 inches. This way they can make it look like it was all a very scientifically-based plan, and they never meant to throw our school kids under the Covid bus, but most of us know better.BearForce2 said:
Science told us 6 feet, now science says 3 feet under certain circumstances, with double masks and vaccine of course. This doesn't apply to people illegally entering the country or high level government officials.
