Not to mention the fact that the first child did not die from the measles. But hey, never let the facts get in the way of good propaganda.

The post does not say RFK is directly responsible for the measles outbreak. It is an illustration of how his kind of anti-vaccine rhetoric gets applied to vaccines in general, even when he tries to say the "regular" vaccines are still good. People don't digest nuance.
Ah, the Mennonites, well known consumers of media. What are we doing to increase media literacy in the MENNONITE community?

Look at the timeline in the article. The consensus narrative makes no sense.
You obviously haven't read it. Understandable, it's long and takes time to digest. But then you can't really dismiss it out of hand, especially not when the points being made are supported with 3rd party sources.
So we're at the same place we always end up in: you accept at face value whatever the medical authorities are pushing and I don't. Perhaps if you took the time to sort through the various claims with these controversies (lab leak, various vaccine claims, Ivermectin, Hydroxichloroquine, safety studies of various vaccines), you would be more receptive to obvious truth that the medical authorities have an agenda that only occasionally overlaps with protecting public health.

I'm not a medical professional so there is no "obvious truth" for me in a subject matter like medicine. I am forced to trust an expert….just like a jury is during a trial that hinges on expert testimony.

There's no self-correcting mechanism in your world view. Blind faith. That's what they are counting on.
And I think your analogy fails. Expert witnesses are hired guns; everyone understands that. You assume that your medical authorities have no interest but to protect public health.

I'm sure the medical authorities will be warning the public at any moment.

….but some hired guns are wh@res and the ones with reputations as truth tellers win cases.

…and you assume your Substack authors are pure when they are making millions pandering to the Joe Rogan angry white men that think they are smarter than everyone else.

Matt Taibbi went from a truth telling Rolling Stone journalist earning a subsistence living to making millions in Substack subscriptions shoveling bullsh@it to the Rogan crowd willing to pay for it.

Taibbi doesn't write truthful things like this anymore:

"Meanwhile the pessimism of Trump's revolution is intentional, impassioned, ascendant. They placed a huge bet on America's worst instincts, and won. And the first order of business will be to wipe out a national idea in which they never believed. Welcome to the end of the dream.

In the modern Republican Party, making sense is a secondary consideration. Years of relentless propaganda combined with extreme frustration over the disastrous Bush years and two terms of a Kenyan Muslim terrorist president have cast the party's right wing into a swirling suckhole of paranoia and conspiratorial craziness. There is nothing you can do to go too far, a fact proved, if not exactly understood, by the madman, Trump.

In the elaborate con that is American electoral politics, the Republican voter has long been the easiest mark in the game, the biggest dope in the room. Everyone inside the Beltway knows this. The Republican voters themselves are the only ones who never saw it.

Much of America loves its Mad King, whose works are regularly on display. Russians under Ivan the Terrible used to watch dogs being hurled over the Kremlin walls when the tsar's mood was bad. Americans have grown used to late-night insults tweeted at nuclear powers from the White House bedroom.

Trump has already staked a claim to a role in history usually reserved for hereditary monarchs at the end of a line of inbreeding. Historians will list him somewhere between Vlad the Impaler and France's Charles VI, who thought his buttocks were made of glass.

In the elaborate con that is American electoral politics, the Republican voter has long been the easiest mark in the game, the biggest dope in the room.

….. All you have to do to secure a Republican vote is show lots of pictures of gay people kissing or black kids with their pants pulled down or Mexican babies at an emergency room.

….. That's literally all it's taken to secure decades of Republican votes, a few patriotic words and a little over-the-pants rubbing.

But then he [Trump]ran into the total stupidity of America that embraced every dumb thing about him, and that chemically interacted with his narcissistic personality and it turned into this unstoppable force."

Trump didn't mandate the Covid gene therapies. That was your guy. Who created the ministry of disinformation and used the full force of government to censor free speech? Who's the tyrant?

But thank you for clarifying what all this is about for you. Clearly, it's not about public health, it's about projecting your political views (leftist authoritarian kleptocracy) onto every issue including this one.

Covid "vaccines" - the wonder drugs that work wonders.

https://www.thefocalpoints.com/p/breaking-85-million-person-study?r=aiop6&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=false

This comprehensive Bayesian multivariate meta-analysis included 15 studies, with 11 controlled observational studies forming the basis of the primary analysis. In total, the analysis evaluated over 85 million individuals, including nearly 46 million vaccinated individuals (with first, second, or third doses) and nearly 40 million unvaccinated or control participants. Vaccines studied included BNT162b2 (Pfizer), mRNA-1273 (Moderna), and ChAdOx1 (AstraZeneca), spanning multiple countries across Asia, Europe, and North America.
...
This large-scale analysis of over 85 million individuals shows that COVID-19 vaccines are associated with significantly increased risks of stroke, heart attack, coronary artery disease, and arrhythmia. Pfizer's mRNA injections (BNT162b2) were specifically linked to substantial increases in stroke, myocardial infarction, and coronary artery diseaseparticularly following the first and second doses. Arrhythmia risk was elevated following the first dose of any vaccine, with the strongest signal observed after AstraZeneca's ChAdOx1.

Isn't this the same study:

International Journal of Preventive Medicine

https://journals.lww.com/ijom/fulltext/2025/03210/covid_19_vaccination_and_cardiovascular_events__a.6.aspx

I'm confused by these statements in the article:

Under Results section:

"No increased risk of heart attack, arrhythmia, or stroke was observed post-COVID-19 vaccination. As the only noteworthy point, a protective effect on stroke (OR, 0.19; 95% CrI: 0.100.39) and myocardial infarction (OR, 0.003; 95% CrI: 0.0010.006) was observed after the third dose of the vaccine."

Under Discussion section:

In terms of stroke, our multivariate results align with a previously conducted meta-analysis conducted in England using the self-controlled case series design,[34-36] and population studies from France, the United States, and Israel.[5,37,38] All of the studies found no increased incidence of stroke following vaccination. In contrast, a recent and comprehensive analysis conducted by Jiang in 2023,[39] revealed a 41% reduction in the risk of post-COVID heart attack or stroke among fully vaccinated individuals. The study mentioned that even partial vaccination was associated with a decreased risk of adverse cardiovascular events, consistent with the findings from our subgroup meta-analysis about myocardial infarction and stroke after the third dose.

….. While acknowledging potential side effects, our findings support the overall safety of the COVID-19 vaccine concerning cardiovascular complications such as myocardial infarction, stroke, and arrhythmia. However, it is crucial to note that ongoing surveillance and research are essential to continually monitor the safety and efficacy profiles of vaccines, including their potential cardiovascular effects, particularly as new variants emerge and vaccination strategies evolve. This underscores the importance of robust and continuous post-marketing surveillance systems to promptly identify and address any emerging safety concerns associated with vaccines."

"A group of public health experts and scientists is mobilizing to counter vaccine misinformation from federal agencies, in an effort backed by Walmart heiress Christy Walton that could eventually produce independent product evaluations and clinical guidelines.

Why it matters: It's the latest bid to push back against vaccine skepticism the group's founders contend is threatening to compromise federal public health agencies and the information they disseminate.

The initiative is led by former FDA commissioner Margaret Hamburg and former National Academy of Medicine president Harvey Fineberg and will operate as part of the University of Minnesota's Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP).

Driving the news: The newly formed Vaccine Integrity Project aims to start meeting with medical associations, state health officials, insurers, pharmacies and others next month on steps such as establishing a network of subject matter experts to conduct science-based reviews of vaccines.

The effort is supported by an unrestricted gift from Alumbra, a foundation established by Walton, the widow of Walmart heir John Walton.
"This project acknowledges the unfortunate reality that the system that we've relied on to make vaccine recommendations and to review safety and effectiveness data faces threats," said epidemiologist Michael Osterholm, the director of CIDRAP.
"It is prudent to evaluate whether independent activities may be needed to stand in its place and how nongovernmental groups might operate to continue to provide science-based information to the American public."

Osterholm told Science the group will seek out guidance about potentially "reviewing government decisions and messaging to provide clear and evidence-based information" and about "the potential need for a new independent body to evaluate vaccine safety and effectiveness."

Between the lines: The effort comes as Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s vaccine skepticism is putting him at odds with most scientists and some of the industries he's regulating. Some researchers fear he could appoint like-minded individuals to panels that advise the Food and Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on vaccine policy."

"Immunologists fear the rate of infection of such diseases and the unnecessary suffering they bring will increase as the US health secretary, Robert F Kennedy Jr, spreads misleading claims about vaccines and vaccine-preventable diseases, undermines public confidence in vaccines' benefits, threatens to make some vaccines less accessible, guts public health infrastructure and pushes leading vaccine experts out of the department……

……Measles vaccination is believed to have saved more than 93 million lives worldwide between 1974 and 2024 and reduced overall childhood mortality."
