We are even seeing some of this pro Russian "spin" (pregnant woman in front of bombed maternity hospital was a crisis actor, the U.S. was developing bio weapons in Ukrainian labs, Zelensky - the Jewish president - is actually a Nazi, Russia isn't targeting civilians, etc) now appear on this cite. Of course some are being posted by well known and long-standing Russian bots Russia talking point sympathizers.

WAKE UP PEOPLE (assuming you are actually people). Do you remember how Russia was never going to invade, and then it did? How all of the damaged civilian building you saw were actually being caused by Ukrainians, and now you see video of Mariopol essentially reduced to ruble? You think Zelensky is doing that? How many times do you need to be lied to by this Russian propaganda machine before you wake up and realize that because you hate Joe Biden that doesn't mean that he isn't right in this case? Repeating talking points of a mass murderer doesn't make you a clever truth finder who is "doing your own research". What it makes you is complicit.

And we should also note that this is not confined to the right wing. Groups on the far left (who are by default heavily opposed to American foreign policy) are highly susceptible to these kinds of arguments too. They aren't as high-profile as Fox News hosts, but they're out there.

The part of the Trump response that never got enough outrage: the fact that he not only was okay with the US collaborating with Russian intelligence, but thought it was a good idea. Oh yes, of course what we need is for Russia to have had more access to American intelligence and our data and to have security clearance, I mean what could go wrong?
