Russia has had the highest growth in real wages among industrialized nations last year, the growth in wages far outstripping theinflation rate. Its economy is booming, forecast to grow 4% this year, and now the 4th largest in the world according to the IMF.

As well they do have a lot of immigrants, mostly from central Asia and former soviet republics, including 3 million Ukrainians. They've also recently allowed immigration from the West.

I searched the question "Why can't Russia manufacture all it's own missiles" and the AI Overview response is:

" While Russia does produce a significant number of its own missiles, it can't fully manufacture all its missiles independently due to several factors including: reliance on imported components, particularly advanced technology like microchips and precision guidance systems, sanctions limiting access to crucial materials, and a declining domestic manufacturing base that struggles to keep up with modern missile technology development; meaning they may need to source certain parts from other countries, often through less transparent channels, to fully assemble their missile systems."

*I looked it up because to this layman it is counter intuitive that Russia buying missiles from Iran and using NK troops in the Ukraine can be interpreted as a sign of strength. It certainly wouldn't be interpreted as a sign of strength if the United States did that in an armed conflict. Clearly Russia will win this war of attrition if Putin continues to have his way…..but at what cost?

At the cost of a shattered NATO and depleted NATO / EU / USA military stockpiles.

Russia gains in many ways, really lopsided.

Meanwhile, over 70% of America youth can't even meet military standards due to obesity, diabetes, electronic / drug addictions, etc.

It's a false premise, the Russians have been firing around 5,000 missiles per year and have been producing a large quantity of missiles, along with tanks, shells etc.

They were very far behind in terms of drone technology and usage when the war started in 22, and now two years later they are world leaders. Iran has furnished a lot of Shahed drones (the dorito-shaped 2-stroke lawn mower engine-powered ones), a successful, cheap design which the Russians have implemented, improved upon and have been producing in large numbers in factories set up last year.

A lot of the items in that AI statement above are plain wrong, AI fed faulty or outdated info produces false information. The Russians can produce their own guidance systems and are at the forefront in missile technology across the board with their hypersonics, air-to-air missiles (R-37M), Lancet systems, cruise missiles and loitering drones. They can produce legacy chips and can get more advanced ones from China.

The Russians don't have open borders, and they don't house immigrants in 4-star hotels or keep those who commit felonies in Russia.

They do fund large infrastructure projects, every major Russian city has new airports, highways, housing etc. I don't think they have large tariffs like Trump wants to set up, but they use their currency as a tariff, maintaining it at an undervalued level of around 90-100 Rubles per USD which stimulates domestic production.

Russia does have a very low flat income tax rate of 13%, their government gets most of its income through nationalized natural resources and heavy industry (oil and gas, metals etc), which they have confiscated from oligarchs in the 2000s. They are raising the tax rate to 22% for incomes above $500,000.

At the risk of repeating myself, the game should have been called off 2 years ago, or avoided altogether through compliance with Minsk II. Those who pushed for it and planned it knew that Ukraine would be wrecked in the process. Mearsheimer predicted this 10 years ago:

Good rundown of the current situation from Col. MacGregor:

(starts at the 2:05 mark)

tl;dr:

On Ukraine:
-War is almost over, Ukraine losing, but war being kept up by MIC and war profiteeirs
-Recent group of US/Canadian soldiers killed in Kursk symptom of continued NATO merc presence within Ukrainian ranks
-North Korean troops only there for training so far, part of their military agreement with Russia, no evidence of them being used on the front.

On Israel:
-Air attack on Iran was broken off due to presence of AA defense over Iran
-US military not ready for war against Iran
-Iran has no interest in going to war with the US, bending over backwards to avoid it, Israeli lobby pushing hard for it
-Macgregor relayed Cap Weinberger's insider experience with Reagan in the Beirut Marines barracks bombing episode - MacG commends Reagan for pulling out from Lebanon
-US should pursue peace in both Ukraine and the Middle East
-US should oppose mass slaughter of Palestinians, which is also going to hurt Israel in the long term
-MacG supports and commends Bernie Sanders' for opposing arm sales to Israel
-MacG reckons that the Lancet's 200,000 Gaza casualty figure is accurate
-Behavior of the US as main enablers weakens our position in the worfd
-Israel is interested in killing as many Gazans as they can get away with.

In that incident, it was only a handful of US and Canadian troops, part of a special forces contingent.

In total, Ukraine has lost over 25,000 troops in the Kursk incursion, among which many NATO special forces.

From the same article, here is a map of recent Russian advances in darker orange and red. Once the Russians get through main regional hubs Pokrovsk and Sloviansk (probably sometime this winter), the battle for the Donbas will be over, and the road to the Dniepr River open.
