One of Trump's greatest achievements could be driving the neocons out of the Republican Party.

Trump takes hundreds of millions from neocons, you're going to see Pompeo, Haley, Bolton, Kushner et al back in action next year.

Yeah, so if he gets reelected, he will spend his second term making America great again, right?

Flash back 25 years, this is why my Ukranian friends said that people in their country always vote for the incumbent, the second time around.

Bottom line: billionaires, in most cases, can never get enough. That is an understatement for "populist" Trump.

I saw a video last night from CNN that showed that Trump, between legal judgements and real estate, has 1.8 billion dollars in personal debt. In one or two cases, he needs to refinance the debt coming due on office towers in the next year and the value of the buildings are less than the mortgage he needs, so that's going to be a problem finding a bank to refinance them. So, he may be a billionaire but he also owes billions. They speculated that he may liquidate his Truth Social stock to cover it.

One of Trump's judgments will likely be reduced significantly. Also, Trump owns about 6 billion dollars worth of truth social. Even if that cuts in half by the time he sell all of it, that is substantial.

The Truth Social stock has tanked 41% in the last 3 days. Trump has lost 2.4 billion dollars in value. He'd better get rid of it quick.

Perhaps the sudden change is due to recent data being released about Truth Social user metrics?

Interesting question: what would be the effect of Trump being elected on the value of TS? I would guess it would go up, so maybe the stock price drop is the market believing that his odds of winning have declined?

Last I've heard NK has 11,000 troops training in eastern Russia near Vladivostok, close to their border.

I would guess North Koreans want to learn new drone-based warfare on the Ukraine front, so you will probably see some of their battalions there soon.

I think as well the NK story is also a bit of a smokescreen as the main story now is the increase in the pace of Russian advances across the board.

The price squeezed when it was revealed that Trump is favored to win the election. The squeeze has stopped so it is people taking process and it getting shorted down.

Trump's motivations are financial greed, lust for personal power, obsession with his image and a strong desire to keep his azz out of jail. Not saying "wanting to help his country" might not be a distant 5th place there, but no higher than that).

Greed is part of human nature, but no, I don't think the politicians you mention are "equally" motivated by greed. Nor are most Republican politicians over the past 50 years or so. Most politicians probably have a bit of narcissism to their personality, but also sincerely want to help their country.

Greed is part of human nature, but no, I don't think the politicians you mention are "equally" motivated by greed. Nor are most Republican politicians over the past 50 years or so. Most politicians probably have a bit of narcissism to their personality, but also sincerely want to help their country.
As I have often said: before Trump there had never been a President with ZERO history of public service. Never won public office, no military service, no appointed government positions, nothing. He is an outlier.
