Its the first salvo. They'll be a counter, or Z may blow it up and lead 100K more men to their certain death.

Scott Ritter claimed unelected Z would be gone six months ago. UK wants the war for some strange reason. The loser (NATO) doesn't dictate terms.

But...but....what happened to the "cease-fire" ?

And Chump stating that that was his primary goal meeting with Putin and there would be "severe consequences" if no cease-fire ?

"How many Democrats will end up in psychiatric facilities if Trump manages to secure peace in Ukraine? "

Since Trump's definitions always have enough self serving elastic built into them so he can claim a win, Trump, had he been involved in the process, would have contended he secured peace after Germany invaded and occupied the Sudetenland.

It will require the destruction of the meaning of language to equate giving in to Putin's demands with "securing peace."

NEW YORK (AP) Russia's Vladimir Putin agreed at his summit with President Donald Trump to allow the United States and its European allies to offer Ukraine a security guarantee resembling NATO's collective defense mandate as part of an eventual deal to end the 3 1/2-year war in Ukraine, special U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff said Sunday.

"We were able to win the following concession: That the United States could offer Article 5-like protection, which is one of the real reasons why Ukraine wants to be in NATO," he told CNN's "State of the Union." He added that it "was the first time we had ever heard the Russians agree to that" and called them "game-changing."

Article 5, at the heart of the 32-member military alliance, states that an armed attack against one or more of the members shall be considered an attack against all members.

Really, it was Biden's fault that Putin decided to start a war? It was Biden's fault for the mess in Gaza? I did not know that he had that much power!

Autopen Administration helps start a war, then doesn't improve anemic production capacity.

President Trump again begins to solve the problem.

We should fire some 4-star Generals for getting us into this untenable situation.

Not a cheerleader, recognizing facts on the ground.

NATO and CIA armed and prepared Ukraine to take on Russia for eight or more years. CIA / NATO providing satellite recon, guidance, and likely high-end weapons direction / use. Russia is clearly fighting a NATO / USA proxy war.

- They've reportedly killed 1.8 million Ukrainians and contractors.
- Probably 400K amputees and another million injured
- They've concentrated on destroying the military, not acquiring land.
- Their agreement to the Istanbul peace Accord shows their true goal wasn't to capture Kiev.
- If they truly wanted to capture Kiev and failed, OK, I have no skin in that game.
- Russia was behind in the drone game, and rectified that problem
- Millions have fled Ukraine, it may never regain its stature
- If Russia gains 15% of valuable Ukranian land, a commitment of no UKR in NATO, and a neutral zone, those are big.
- Economic blockade backfired, Russia stronger, and USA-Russia trade relations could resume, including a rare earth minerals deal.
- USA / NATO military weaker, Russia much stronger; NATO and beocon warpigs in tatters.

Your ideological viewpoint provides you a false conclusion: NATO, the EU, and USA are exposed. We can't even produce adequate 155 shells, or Patriot missiles. Repugnant Biden stooped so low as to provide Ukraine w banned-by-many cluster munitions. That's how desperate we were.

We reportedly planned to fight three simultaneous wars, but couldn't handle two. Now NATO, EU, and USA stockpiles are exposed as threadbare. It is estimated we only have enough Patriot missile systems to defend 5% of the desired coverage in Europe. Europe is exposed with minimal militaries.

BREAKING: President Trump tells Zelensky - NO NATO membership, and NO re-claiming Crimea from Russia.

"President Zelenskyy of Ukraine can end the war with Russia almost immediately, if he wants to, or he can continue to fight. Remember how it started."

"No getting back Obama given Crimea (12 years ago, without a shot being fired!), and NO GOING INTO NATO BY UKRAINE. Some things never change!!!"

Boy, Twitter and a diligent President sure help cut through the clutter.

What do the Ukrainian People want? This is rarely mentioned.

Current 'President' Volodymyr Zelenskyy, installed as an outcome of western influence operations, cancelled elections 18 months ago. The various EU / NATO stakeholders did not want an authentic voice of the Ukrainian people to impede on the proxy war against Russia.

Ergo, Zelensky can be seen as illigitimate.

Some believe Zelenskyy is in a weak position domestically with sentiment within Ukraine turning sharply against ongoing war.

The Intelligence Community / USAID / CIA apparatus as deployed by the U.S. State Dept., was the method to manipulate popular public opinion.

Some argue the European leaders now in route to DC are representing the financial companies / banks who fund political leadership - and do not want resolution without security guarantees for their lucrative financial investments.

The big Cheeto and the U.S. got nothing, no ceasefire and no agreement. Putin is now going around saying he is no longer isolated. He has been legitimized which is exactly what he wanted. Without putting the secondary sanctions on he will continue this conflict. The cost for Putin has to be changed and a further squeezing of their economy and those who currently violate the sanctions has to be a goal. Additionally, Ukraine will need to do more than defend itself and that means the U.S. and others will need to supply Ukraine. This is not ideal but if we aren't part of the effort to stop Putin and Russia then in a year or so we will defending out NATO allies under Article 5 and/or having China invade Taiwan. If you don't think China is watching our response then you are kidding yourself. Think about a pay me now or pay me later situation

"The big Cheeto and the U.S. got nothing, no ceasefire and no agreement."

Within 48 hours Zelensky and the EU warpigs will be at the White House to hear the unelected cokehead's response.

"The cost for Putin has to be changed and a further squeezing of their economy and those who currently violate the sanctions has to be a goal."

Russia is stronger economically and militarily than they were four years ago. The neocon Globalists and NATO / CIA failed, destroying Ukraine in the process.

" that means the U.S. and others will need to supply Ukraine."

- Where will this large cache of missiles and ammo magically appear from? [The West is tapped out.]

- Where will the new army come from? UKR is fighting w grandpa's and teenagers.

"This is not ideal but if we aren't part of the effort to stop Putin and Russia then in a year or so we will defending out NATO allies under Article 5 and/or having China invade Taiwan."

Huh? Russia doesn't even want western Ukraine, but if Z continues his bloodthirst, Russia may take Odessa and more westward territory.

"Think about a pay me now or pay me later situation"

Fight w what? The warmongers already tapped us out after we abandoned our manufacturing base. No bueno. Some reports show a 6-to-1 advantage for artillery shells in Russia's favor. Meanwhile, Rooskies have a manufacturing backstop w North Korea (China) and Iran. Maybe others, too (Turkey?). And we've also shipped substantial goods to Israel - supplying two major wars simultaneously. We're tapped out, unless we want to escalate with more powerful, long range missiles, which Russia can match or supercede.

Are you foolish enough to suggest nuclear war bc our proxy war failed?

Your support for Russia is interesting and worrisome. Zelenskyy is the leader of his country in wartime much like Churchill was during WWII. You call the European leaders warpigs? How do you figure? Europeans have a much different response to a country invading another due to the World Wars. My in laws told stories about descending into the underground to avoid the bombings during the bombings by Germany. It left a mark on them. They're is fear among Europeans that Putin is just getting started.

In my previous posts I addressed the increase in production of artillery shells. You can bet they are increasing production of various weapons systems.

To say that Russia is stronger militarily and that their economy is better off dismisses the inflation that they have experienced since they invade Ukraine. Initially inflation was 17.8% then the Russian Central Bank tightened money policy and it sits at 8.5%.Inflation is now 8.8% . Russia is experiencing a brain drain as male Russia also does have access to the international monetary banking system which is why they attempted to pay for jet fuel with cash. Russians are attempting to leave the country in droves. It is so bad that Russia can't recruit enough soldiers and they are paying recruits from other countries ie Indians, North Koreans, and Chechens. How long can Putin hold off the families of the "missing soldiers". Fighting for your home is much different than invading a country, so Ukraine will have enough soldiers for now. The U.S. defense industry is selling tons of military hardware to the Europeans who then supply the Ukrainians.

Again, we can either get together with our allies now or we can wait till Putin violates some agreement which is the same thing he has done with every agreement he has signed, and he attacks ones of, our allies and we are obligated under Article 5 to stand with our allies.

Yes, China is watching because they have plans for Taiwan. How we handle Russia gives China an idea about what our response will be should they decide to attack Taiwan. Handling the Russia situation the right way would give China pause.

Russia wants the whole country. Putin wants to assemble the countries that made up the former Soviet Empire and wants a buffer between the Soviet Empire and NATO. Europe recognizes what it looks like to have one country invade another and realize that this time their response can't be appeasement

Some of the commentors on BI confuse me. Sometimes I can't figure out if they are even more pro Russia than they are pro Trump. This simple test will help me out:

"20,000 Russian soldiers were killed last month, in July, in this war," Rubio told Margaret Brennan on CBS' "Face the Nation. "That just tells you the price they're willing to pay. ... It's a meat grinder, and [the Russians] just have more meat to grind."
Axios

The question is: Is Rubio's statement accurate?

If so, he paints a far darker picture of the price the Ukranian's are making Russia pay for invading their country than the Russian cheerleaders that post here are.*

*What do Col. Macgregor and Tulsi think?

Rubio's statement is inaccurate, most likely being fed wrong intelligence. Somewhat similar to the Vietnam war, but with a much larger fudge factor. 20k KIAs/month would be a reasonable estimate for ongoing Ukrainian losses.

Russian losses relative to Ukraine's have been low ( https://en.zona.media/article/2025/08/01/casualties_eng-trl ). Also, this came out recently:

You would not have had those kinds of poll numbers if Russian losses had been anywhere near what Rusio claimed.
