I miss the days when KGO had Pete and DR Bill and Ray Talifaro
How (are) you gonna win when you ain’t right within…
Yes, I would run some errands in the mid-afternoon and turn on Chip Franklin.Big C said:
KGO has really fallen off a cliff, as of late. Much of their air time is farmed out to people/companies promoting questionable nutritional and financial advice, i.e. one long infomercial.. How can they even be allowed to do that?
In the evening, they are paying for "The Jim Bohannon Show". I'm okay if they want to give a sensible Bay Area conservative some time, but "Jimbo" is not Northern California and he attracts RWNJs like shxt attracts flies.
The rest of their "personalities" kind of suck, too. John Rothman is okay. I shouldn't even waste my time, but when I'm in an under-30-min car trip, I'm lazy and just like to flip on the radio.

He was fairly even-keeled but could get a bit snarky at times with a caller who was being "pig-headed". His strength was being able to bounce from one topic to another, and he even had some decent guests on. But the "we just want the rich to pay their fair share" mantra got a little old.
In a dramatic economic move, KGO bought out Franklin's contract and revised the other talk show host's schedules to fill the gap. I guess Cumulus is under a lot of financial pressure.
They've extended John Rothman's hours but he isnt a PM drive time host.
His skill is politics and the Middle East.
He's a single topic guy and has shown no ability to move point to point and issue to issue.
He's perfect Podcast material, but he just isnt able to bounce around from topic to topic.
And that's what's needed during a PM drive talk show which are usually caller driven.

I can't believe you have hijacked this thread.
Here we were talking about the important subject of Supreme Court nomination process, and you are lured into talking about KGO Radio's scheduling?
That's really annoying.

Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson beat out two other black female judges to be selected for the Supreme Court. Neither of the other two, Judge Michelle Childs and Judge Leondra Kruger, were pedophile apologists. Only Ketanji Jackson held this clear distinction over the other two finalists. The Biden regime must have seen this as a plus.

Credit to Romney for voting to confirm her appointment.
All other 47 Republicans get a permanent NO vote from me.

Why not just give the Pedo offender two weeks? That ought to teach 'em not to enjoy child rape.

I'd be curious to hear you come up with some narratives of the type of society you'd like to live in.BearForce2 said:AunBear89 said:

I preferred the "old days", when, if a candidate was qualified and not crazy-extreme, most all the Senators would vote to ratify the President's choice. We're barely one country anymore.
Sadly, not enough progress has been made.bearister said:
"Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson celebrated her confirmation to the Supreme Court with an emotional, sunny South Lawn ceremony that replaced broadcast-network programming for more than an hour:
"In the poetic words of Dr. Maya Angelou, ... 'I am the dream and the hope of the slave,'" the judge said to applause, speaking through tears at times.
"We have come a long way toward perfecting our union," she added. "In my family, it took just one generation to go from segregation to the Supreme Court of the United States." Axios
when Thurgood Marshall was confirmed in 1967 to become the first black man on the Supreme Court, 16 of 22 senators from the 11 states of the old Confederacy voted no or didn't vote

when Ketanji Brown Jackson was confirmed today to become the first black woman, 18 of 22 voted no
SCOTUS picks often surprise us. Gorsuch has been even worse than expected. Kavanaugh more of a mixed bag, so less bad than expected but still more or less a conservative hardliner. ACB seems to be a zealot.going4roses said:

Says the guy who supports the party that has been trying to pass child marriage laws aka pro statutory rape laws under the guise of marriage. How's that going for you and your pedo groomers? Those people have some really sick ideas about child marriage. (See Roy Moore and Tenn Legislature) I won't even mention the pedo congressman from Florida who is under investigation.BearForce2 said:AunBear89 said:

Hopefully she votes to change laws so that people won't have to think that the system is rigged against them so they can therefore reach for success unencumbered.oski003 said:going4roses said:

Hopefully, she gives hope to people that may otherwise think the system is rigged against them and inspires them to reach for success.
