Here in an America …
Tell me how descendants of chattel slavery have power(economically /politically/legally/financially/religion) over white people ?
Do you not have any power? Do you have less than whites in Alabama? Let's not be enslaved by some theoretical concept. Are you, who have access and time to post here all day, oppressed more than white person hooked on meth in Ohio?
Are you equating posting on BI is equal to having full autonomy over my person ? Are you effing serious ? Are you that oblivious? You have not walked my path … thus you have absolutely no comprehension. Your privilege has shaped your viewpoint/understanding/thought process so much so that you would be so disrespectful to say that and not have any idea how wrong it is on so my levels.
As I said not on an individual level but on group level. Name tangible power/gains we have over any other group of people
You say I did not walk in your shoes and cannot say what your experience was. Then you presume to say what my life was and what my privilege was.
My question was how has the power imbalance hurt your life? Truly wanting to know. All I see without further information on how it has impacted you is that most people don't have means to watch TikTok and post here throughout the day. Who has power over you that you do not otherwise give and who otherwise does not have over me or an Asian person? I don't know what you mean by power so trying to understand how that has impacted you personally.
And if you feel so strongly about this, how has your life translated to making a change?
I am curious and trying to understand.
