The only person that I sort of trust in that group is Christie, not that he isn't problematic but I would shrug my shoulders and think that we will have some stability. I think Haley is the least dangerous of the rest of the GOP and most likely would move to the center and also govern like a normal person. No one else is even close - they are just a bunch of clowns who have no business being near the white house.

It's funny if you think back only 10-20 years ago, the GOP used to care about the economy and prize stability. Those days are long gone.

  • Chris Christie recommended Chris Wray to Trump for FBI Director.
  • Chris Wray's FBI had Hunter's laptop since late 2019 and did nothing about it.
  • 51 former intel officials said the Hunter laptop story had all the earmarks of Russian disinformation.
  • FBI had internal reports stating that wasn't true.
  • Instead, the FBI leaked to the press that there was some credibility to that.

Funny how Trump's bad appointees are never Trump's fault. It's always someone else's fault. The buck never stops at Trump's desk.

Of course Trump is responsible. He should hold them accountable if he gets back into office. Why isn't Biden or the Democrats holding these Trump appointed Republican officials accountable?

That'll never happen, provided Trump is first held accountable.

Christie wasn't the only person who recommended Wray and Wray has done a good job. People like you infantilize Trump and don't think he is capable of making even the smallest decision yet you still vote for him.

Christie would be a far more stable POTUS than Trump but the GOP base no longer holds any meaningful values and is fully on board with Trump's revenge tour.

You guys are obsessed with Hunter Biden (his hog, his stolen computer, etc.) because you know Trump has never had a chance of winning on his own. He's always needed a deus ex machina. In 2016, Comey provided it and you guys think Hunter will do it in 2024. Good luck with that lol. Maybe try licking a less awful candidate - you could choose literally anyone else. Even Vivek and perhaps increase your chances from 0%.

Before Trump it was pretty scandalous that a governor (Christie) would shut down a major freeway / bridge onramp to create a massive traffic jam and wreck a towns ability to move around and function normally in order to punish a mayor for political reasons. Christie is trash. He's just not a fascist.

Your only criticism of Christie devolved into a pointless fantasy that Trump's opponent's son's laptop whose data was (likely illegally) shared by a blind computer shop owner to Rudy G would somehow help Trump get elected.

Let's not pretend like you are trying to convince anyone with substance. Dajo's criticism of Christie was far more relevant and substantive. I imagine as much as Dajo dislikes Christie, he would probably prefer Christie to the remaining entrants in the field, which says a lot about the state of the GOP.

At the end of the day, Wray (irrespective of who recommended who to whom) was appointed by Trump. If the person at the top has no accountability for the actions he takes, why are they the decision makers and why do they get credit for the good things that happen?

Also, it is a bizarro world where truly conservative folks like Wray are equally hated by the extremes on the left and the right, and the liberals are the ones who are defending conservatives like Wray. At a certain point, you have to wonder if people who follow everything Trump does would pledge to be a socialist if Trump, during a 3 am ranting and with auto-correct, claimed he was a socialist.

Law and order, the thing that conservatives used to like, is about principles and enforcing the law (including not prosecuting when there isn't evidence) despite the pressure from special interest groups and politicians. So odd to me that these people who claim to be conservatives and hug flags and stop watching football because someone kneeled during the anthem mock true military heroes, prevent strong military by holding up military promotions, attack police during the storming of government, hate the FBI and CIA (maybe the far right and the far left are both truly communists), and ask to defund the federal police. So damn weird.

If the worst about Christie is that he had an underling clog up traffic as political retribution, while the worst about Trump is that he tried to commit an illegal minimally violent coup d'etat in rejection of election results, while Christie regularly calls out the bigger sin, I'd say the score is:

1000 Christie
-1000 Trumpists.

How long do you want to ignore this user?

As far as the Whitmer thing, the defense was that these guys were just talking about kidnapping Whitmer and blowing up bridges but it was just the kind of banter that normal people engage in. You know, buying night vision goggles for $4K and creating and detonating IEDs. Just normal guy stuff.

There were 9 convictions. The leader was sentenced to 19 years in prison. Only in a right wing bubble does that equate to a fake kidnapping plot.

I think you should donate heavily to an Innocence Project to help free the innocent Deplorables picking dingleberries out of their rear ends that were convicted by juries and sent to prison for the January 6 Insurrection and Whitmer kidnapping plot.

If lovin' her is wrong, Big C don't wannabe right!

It's interesting you brought up Whitmer. Did you know the head of the Detroit FBI field office overseeing the Whitmer case was then transferred to run the DC FBI field office and overseeing the 1/6 investigation?

I think you should try keeping up with Concordtom and read 10 more Trump books before the year ends.
