If these boats were really sailing to the US to smuggle drugs, they would have been blown up close to the US shores, and that would have been a bigger PR coup for the administration, it would have left less doubt about them really trying to stop the inflow of drugs into the US. It's not like they can't easily track these boats by satellite.

Elon Musk alleges on Joe Rogan that hundreds of Billions (??) in health care medical support is fraudulently sent to states for medical coverage, that is used by self-reporting California, New York, and Illinois (and others), to balance their overall state finances.
