Even years ago, a lot of visitors from Europe have had to go through intrusive questioning coming in as tourists, whereas if you land in Europe, you just get your passport scanned and stamped at the airport and the immigration officier barely looks at you.

But lately, it seems like the process is over the top, social media inspection and questioning, biometric data etc, so the word is out and many European tourists are now avoiding the US, and this when the Euro has gone up 15% year to year over the US$. Whenever the Euro shoots up you have a flood of EU tourists in NY, SF, LA, Miami etc. Not this year...
