The best response would have been for Noem to address his question calmly (even if it's something like "We'll be happy to meet with you later, Senator.") and then continue with the conference as long as he remained calm as well. Instead they wrestled him to the ground and handcuffed him immediately, thereby giving up the moral high ground. As always, the Trump administration can't help but overreact to any perceived slight.

Taibbi is just going to take any opportunity to say "Democrats suck" at this point, but in this particular case he's right that the tactics of protestors who carry around Mexican flags and burn stuff are stupid and counterproductive. I've even seen some instances of people carrying Palestinian or even Hamas(!) flags/symbols. Look, I don't like what's happening in Gaza either but where is the message discipline here?
