My guess would be that he wants to do something to reverse the trajectory of his approval rating and so will tout some of his many "achievements" this year and argue for the, what is it, Save America Act?

I'm not sure that whatever he could say about this asinine war would help him.

My hope would be that he comes totally unhinged before a live, nationwide audience (decent possibility, actually). Wait, do I really hope that? Is this out of spite on my part? I'll have to mull that over...

Here are some studies I could find with a quick search. I will say this higher testosterone doesn't make someone automatically a more physically capable soldier but being able to maintain healthy testosterone levels would.


Nindl et al. (2007, U.S. Army): Reviewed endocrine responses in military operations, finding testosterone is linked to maintaining muscle mass and physical performance during demanding military tasks.

Nindl et al. (2005) 84-hour military operational stress: After 84 hours of sustained exertion combined with sleep and calorie restriction, soldiers experienced significant reductions in testosterone and other anabolic hormones, suggesting these hormonal changes contribute to declining physical performance.

Pasiakos et al. (2019) Randomized testosterone trial: Healthy men undergoing a simulated military energy deficit were randomly assigned to testosterone or placebo. Testosterone preserved lean muscle mass during the stressful training period, although it did not produce major improvements in lower-body muscle function. Previously, I hadn't thought it would be about our election system, but it was.

My first reaction is that, if our election system is so flawed, did he really win in 2016 and 2024? Maybe he should not be President now! If he calls me for advice, I will recommend that he step down, pending yet another investigation.

My second thought: He really doesn't want to get impeached by Dem-controlled House next year, so he's laying the groundwork for some shenanigans that could be quite scary. Dude sounded like Joe McCarthy tonight. I was waiting for him to pull a piece of paper out of his pocket that allegedly contained the names of some Communists.
