Assad didn't start the war in Syria, the US/NATO/Israel did. The codename for this operation is Timber Sycamore, the receipts are readily available.

As far as I can tell, the war was already ongoing when this operation started.

Early preparation for regime change operations started two years before the breakout of the war, according to Roland Dumas, former French foreign affairs minister (equivalent of secretary of state) who was privy to that operation.

Horrendous abuse of power and First Amendment rights, period.

If he was Jewish the same thing would probably happen as anti-semitism only means anti-israel and "pro hamas" to the "free speech" crowd

"Early preparation," so in other words, it hadn't started yet?

Who cares?

Just curious ...

Have you ever thought about making better use of your time?

Or is there some sort of a "contest" that I'm unaware of where the winner gets $100,000 for posting 60X over a gorgeous sunny weekend?

Hey, it's all part of Donald Trump and President Musk's plan. You don't really think they're concerned with daily market prices, do you? Of course President Musk doesn't care that he is losing tens of billions of dollars of his net worth... as long as he can make America great again!

As for Donald Trump, he has simply excised the line, "And how do you like the value of your 401k!" from his rally speech.

The true believers will nod their heads at lines like that... maybe even for years. But the "casual Trump voter" (15-20%?) will start looking for something new fairly soon. These things always go in cycles.

Am I confident the opposition party can come up with a message that will resonate? No, but it shouldn't be too hard.

And if people are unhappy with the current administration, you don't really need one for the midterms. For the next Presidential year, yes. But a lot of that also depends on who emerges from the primary.

I find it touching on a personal level that Right Wingers are such guardians of the standards of fairness within the Democratic Party.

I'm so glad you think so. Here's more stories about Act Blue the democrat donation platform acting as a money laundering organization that's targeting the elderly. Just doing our part. Currently being investigated by 6 states AGs.

ActBlue is a criminal organization.

That line is shocking to you? Guess what, Trump won because the majority of people didn't want 4 more years of Biden/Kamala. Trump didn't hide his agenda. On top of that, huge swaths of Trump supporters are drain the swamp types; those folks LOVE what is going on.

The #1 reason the electorate swung Trump's way was because people were unhappy with the economy under Biden. Starting a new recession with tariffs isn't going to help with that.

You understand Trump is intentionally doing everything he can to tank the market as quickly as he can right? He wants interest rates to drop so the lending can start and kickstart private business. Sure he wants to equalize trade, but he doesn't really care about it, it has a purpose.

You conveniently leave out the 80 / 20 issue - historic illegal immigration, one result being numerous cities being physically and fiscally swamped.

At least you're admitting Trump is about helping big business and doesn't care about retirement plans of the middle class and investments of the little guys. Let them eat cake.

Immigration mattered, but I don't think it was more important than economics.

A number of different issues contributed to Trump's win. Really hard to rank them in order of impact.

- the perception that immigrants were overrunning the country ("eating your pets")
- the perception that the economy was bad
- cultural issues (the free-gender-affirming-care-for-prisoners ad was devastating)
- the weakness of Biden and then Harris as candidates
- can include the survived assassination attempt with the iconic photo ("Fight! Fight! Fight!")

And still, the margin of Trump's victory was thinner than they'd like you to believe (popular vote, nationally).

I will pretty much always put the economy first.
