This is a video of a feminist in Toronto from 2022.

It looks like the latest color revolution on Iran is over.

Is there evidence that the Iran protests were part of a foreign operation, or is GreyZone just running cover for brutal authoritarian regimes (as long as they happen to oppose the West) as usual?

There is a legitimate, organic protest movement in Iran but it is largely fueled by popular economic grievances exacerbated by the steep decline in their national currency, as opposed to demands for freedom, as the mullahs have in recent times substantially relaxed personal freedoms like the right for women to not wear the islamic veil.

As with the claims about the CIA in Ukraine, the claims here look pretty thin. Social media posts and overly aggressive news reporting? Okay.

I have little doubt that Israel would like to encourage a regime change in Iran, but . . . meh.

3 major media sources from Israel and a former Secretary of State openly state that Israel was a major actor behind the recent riots in Iran, and you call these claims "pretty thin"?

That's not what they say, though. Except maybe Pompeo, I'll give you that one.

He questions whether quotes from former officials are legitimate, but he believes every Twitter rando that posts a video about ICE.

All depends on which agenda is being served.

Estimates of casualties range from 250 to tens of thousands according to the source. The media source above is owned by Saudis and heavily biased against the Iranian government, from their wiki:

Quote:

Iran International (Persian: , romanized: Irn Internanl) is a Persian-language satellite television channel and multilingual digital news operation based in London, United Kingdom. Established in May 2017 and reportedly linked to Saudi Arabia[1] aimed at Iranians and people interested in Iranian news, culture, politics, society

The protestors firebombed hundreds of mosques, libraries, buses and public administration buildings, and were armed with automatic rifles and shotguns. If you have no problem with Ashli Babbitt being shot for breaking into a government building unarmed, you might not object to armed men being shot doing the same or even shooting at cops. This being said, the Iran government forces should be strongly condemned if they did shoot unarmed protestors.

I hope the Iranian people can fight for their freedom and go back to a flourishing democracy. Having said that, they need to get their OWN military to defend the people against the IRGC and Government. I do not want the USA involved at all. Have we not learned our lesson already? Let me give you a little bit of Iranian history for people that don't know.

During the revolution in Iran there was a fire that took place in a theatre. 400 Iranians were burned alive, pregnant women. The revolutionaries(made up of Islamists and Socialist/Communists) blamed the government. The dumb general public agreed with them and that set off the revolution. We years later find out it was the revolutionaries who locked them into the theatre and set it on fire, they admitted it. Now...when the Islamists took power the first thing they did was kick all the socialists and commies out of government positions lol. The commies and socialists created a political opposition in Iran called the MEK. I believe its the MEK leading this round of revolution because why? They want power. But the Islamists have ran the nation into the ground so they have a lot of backing by the general population. Now, when they overtake the government, who do you think takes power? This is why I want the USA nowhere near this. If the people want to take power back, they should convince their own military people to help them do it.

Yes, I know people believe that if we break Iran, the middle east will go back to sunshine and rainbows, but if the MEK takes power, you're essentially going to have a larger Cuba in the middle east.

I generally don't want Trump to get us involved unless there's a lot more information available. Right now we know almost nothing of whats happening in the country. I can see him doing limited strikes on IRGC sites and thats it. Honestly I think we should just commit to offering the people food/medical aid post revolution for a few months to get them back on their feet.

My feeling is that if there is thousands of dead iranians then the general military should be convinced to step in and protect their own people from the IRGC...do you think I'm missing anything here?

Colonel Douglass MacGregor, who I'm less fond of these days, claims:

- there isn't a huge uprising
- that the CIA and Mosad are on the ground and very active
- that any US or Israeli strikes could motivate citizens to back the sitting government
- concern that if we engage militarily, we don't have depth to our stockpiles for a protracted war

A different internet source claims 10,000 US military personnel in Qatar are relocating with destination unknown. The speculation is that if they stay, they're sitting ducks to a potential Iranian response to any American attack.

You're delusional.

Protecting pedophiles - Bill Clinton was subpoenaed but refuses to come in for questioning. I'm sure he knows something. Have you seen a reporter ask Bill Clinton about Epstein? Why aren't the media and the Democrats pressuring him? Why are they protecting pedophiles?

Prioritizing corporations over farmers - Sure. Total aid to farmers this year is $30 billion plus. What did Biden do? See the Farmer Bridge Assistance initiative, H-2A reforms, One Big Beautiful Bill tax relief....

Screwing the consumer with higher taxes (tariffs) - Rise in some categories of consumer prices are offset by tariff revenues which will lead to income tax relief. CPI is .2.7% late 2025, lower than expectations, and latest trade deficit data shows lowest monthly deficit since 2009.

Spending us into oblivion - Are you referring to the FY 2025 budget proposal that was developed by Joe Biden and the Democrats who proposed and defended higher social spending while Republicans pushed restraint?

Ripping off the taxpayer - Are you referring to the 10% of federal spending that's going to waste, fraud, and abuse that the Democrats were hiding for who knows how long?

Shooting American citizens - Only now you're outraged over Ashli Babbit?

Alienating NATO allies - NATO is going to be paying more for their own defense instead of you thanks to Trump. NATO's chief called Trump, daddy. You should too.

Starting another war - Another one? Which one? What was the previous one?

All I see is a tweet with a highly unlikely claim. Given that there are minors that can't vote, you're claiming about a third of the Oregon voters are improper? I live in Oregon and I'm not buying it. Where's the data and source to back this up?

By the way, even if there are hundreds of thousands of improperly registered voters, it still doesn't mean those ballots are being used. Given the voting patterns in Oregon, removing suspicious voters probably doesn't change the outcome of the voting in most elections.

Actual accurate information about what's going on with Oregon
https://www.oregonlive.com/politics/2026/01/facing-trump-administration-lawsuit-oregon-will-pare-back-voter-rolls-to-exclude-people-who-havent-voted-in-years.html

Quote:

Unlike most states, Oregon does not remove inactive voters who fail to vote in two consecutive federal general elections from its voter rolls. Instead, it designates most of them as "inactive voters." That designation has largely the same effect as removing them from the voter list, however: Elections officials no longer send those people ballots.

But those voters whose registration is out of date do retain one advantage: They can notify their county election office up until Election Day of their new address and still be issued a ballot. People who have never registered to vote in Oregon, by contrast, have to register at least 21 days before an election to obtain a ballot.

Oregon currently has about 3 million active voters plus about 800,000 inactive ones. Removing out-of-date records "will reinforce public trust in our elections," Read said in a Friday afternoon press release. His office said it would begin by removing 160,000 inactive voters who clearly aren't eligible from the rolls.

Shingles vaccine was a *****.

Flu shot highly overrated. I suppose for older folks with weakened immune systems that are at risk from dying if they get the flu it's worth it, but I've probably caught the flu more often when I've had the shot than when I haven't.

Cold that's been going around this year was a ***** too.
