The Manson story is even better than that. The Beach Boys recorded some of Charlie's music. Dennis Wilson also introduced Charlie to Terry Melcher, a producer for the Byrds and Doris Day's son. Melcher auditioned Charlie and met him at the house Wilson and
Melcher shared on Cielo Drive. Melcher and Wilson dumped Charlie and they eventually moved out of the Cielo Drive house and new tenants-Polanski and Sharon Tate- moved in.
