You have to cut him some slack, his knowledge of history is limited to whatever he recalls from reading Bill O'reilly books like Killing Reagan. He still has no idea what the southern strategy is despite it having been explained numerous times. He thinks that southerners stopped being racist when they joined the GOP all those years ago.

I suppose it would be nice to be altogether untethered to reality if he weren't made to fear anything and everything by the propaganda purveyors who make up his worldview.

Are you CRT-spouting, radical leftists forgetting what party Abraham Lincoln belonged to? I'll give you a hint: It starts with the letter "R" and its symbol is the elephant. And its nickname is the GOP. Guessed it yet? Yes, it took a Republican to free the slaves! Maybe you should listen to Bill O'Reilly a little more often: You might learn something! Also, Donald Trump did more to help Black people than any President since Lincoln (and maybe more than Honest Abe himself)! And I didn't even need to listen to O'Reilly to learn that; Trump said it himself!!!

Keystone Pipeline leaks 14,000 barrels of Canadian Tar Sand Oil into rural Kansas Creek.

In 2019, the Keystone pipeline leaked an estimated 383,000 gallons (1.4 million liters) of oil in eastern North Dakota.

Jane Kleeb, who founded the Bold Nebraska environmental and landowner rights group that campaigned against the Keystone XL, said there have been at least 22 spills along the original Keystone pipeline since it began service in 2010. She said federal studies have shown the type of heavy tar sands oil the pipeline carries can be especially difficult to clean up in water because it tends to sink.

No timeline has been provided as to when the pipeline reopens.
It carries 600,000 barrels a day.

He was supposed to be testifying in front of Congress (House Financial Services) remotely on Tuesday.
Guess that wont be happening.
lol

But when asked why he would not fly in for the House hearing, the crypto huckster said: "I'm quite overbooked."

When pressed on Twitter Spaces about whether his refusal to appear in person was due to a fear of being arrested, Bankman-Fried responded that he was deterred by the "paparazzi."

"I don't think I will be arrested," Bankman-Fried told the more than 19,000 Twitter users who tuned in to the interview. The Post has sought comment from Bankman-Fried.

During the Twitter Spaces interview, Bankman-Fried admitted he was playing video games, which were causing the clicking sounds heard in the background. He said he will appear on his own before the House panel on Tuesday.

Speaking of the Middle East, can you tell me why Trump's son in law Jared Kushner received $2 Billion in funds from the Saudi's for his PE fund?

We're talking about someone that had an official role in the U.S. government creating policy.
Not just some relative.

Sounds like you are terribly gullible.
Trade Wars arent "easy to win" and they are very costly.

Trump's Trade War was a tax on the American consumer and it drove the manufacturing sector (the Mid-West) into an official Recession. - - - Never mind that the tariffs sent family farm bankruptcies to a decade high.

Trump screwed a lot of his supporters in those Red Farming and Manufacturing States.
That's why he gave the farmers a $28 Billion Dollar "bail-out".

That's a FACT.

The USMCA was a dramatic improvement over the disaster of NAFTA. Steel and aluminum plants modernized, expanded, and some were built brand new. Semi conductor manufacturing also exploded in Arizona. Our economy expanded magnificently before the Plandemic, while China was hobbled.

False.

USMCA simply carried over many of the same provisions of NAFTA and made only modest, mostly cosmetic changes with very little economic impact.

He lives in a fantasy world where Trump get all the credit for any positive development, including ones that he made up.

After years of complaining about Mexico and Canada taking advantage of the US, Trump changed the name of NAFTA so he could take credit for it and abandoned his prior position. ML is all too happy to go along with it and now seems to think that the CHIPS Act passed just this year which is leading to an increase in semi manufacturing in Arizona is somehow a result of Trump's NAFTA name change.

This is why it pays for politicians to lie. There are so many eager people to gobble it up.

False. USMCA importantly closed China's backdoor exporting of goods through Canada to the US. Among many other changes, it required Mexico to create thousands of jobs paying $15 or more per hour, helping Mexico to build a middle class.

LOL, now conservatives are taking credit for creating $16 / hour jobs in Mexico while doing everything they can to fight $15 minimum wage in the US.

Amazing levels of cognitive dissonance.

Bravo. He cheers for provisions in the USMCA which are intended to increase the cost of goods while complaining about Biden and inflation.

Complaining about CNN talking points while accepting Trump's exaggerated claims just adds to the entertainment value.

Just like Trump's tariffs which increase the cost of imported goods, all of the USMCA provisions you support are intended to increase prices at the expense of US consumers. There is no free lunch here. Of course, since you inhabit an alternative reality created by cognitive dissonance and white wing grievance, none of that matters to you.

O Canada.

Quote:

If you passed on getting the COVID vaccine, you might be a lot more likely to get into a car crash.
Or at least those are the findings of a new study published this month in The American Journal of Medicine. During the summer of 2021, Canadian researchers examined the encrypted government-held records of more than 11 million adults, 16% of whom hadn't received the COVID vaccine.

They found that the unvaccinated people were 72% more likely to be involved in a severe traffic crashin which at least one person was transported to the hospitalthan those who were vaccinated. That's similar to the increased risk of car crashes for people with sleep apnea, though only about half that of people who abuse alcohol, researchers found.

The excess risk of car crash posed by unvaccinated drivers "exceeds the safety gains from modern automobile engineering advances and also imposes risks on other road users," the authors wrote.
Of course, skipping a COVID vaccine does not mean that someone will get into a car crash. Instead, the authors theorize that people who resist public health recommendations might also "neglect basic road safety guidelines."

Why would they ignore the rules of the road? Distrust of the government, a belief in freedom, misconceptions of daily risks, "faith in natural protection," "antipathy toward regulation," poverty, misinformation, a lack of resources, and personal beliefs are potential reasons proposed by the authors.
The findings are significant enough that primary care doctors should consider counseling unvaccinated patients on traffic safetyand insurance companies might base changes to insurance policies on vaccination data, the authors suggest.
