I don't think RFK Jr has a PhD in environmental science.

None of the items he cites in this article are his, he is only presenting the following facts as reported by official sources:

-Sydney, Aust. had its mildest summer in 140 years last year.
-Sao Paulo, Brazil also had a mild Summer.
-The western US had a very large snowfall, which helped replenish the water levels.
-Arctic ice area was normal.

Those seasonal weather facts contradict the official doomer narrative, so they are not reported.

It's not just SF. The whole country is changing with climate change. This article is from Boston but is consistent with my 20+ years in New Jersey. Winters are for more mild than when I arrived*. I'll take it.

If this is a banger of a winter that changes nothing. The trend is overwhelming and clear.

The difference between me and you on this topic (and many others I might add) is that you rely on sweeping alarmist reports made by people with zero expertise like this Annie Jonas writer here, who is a literature grad from Boston U, while I rely on real historical data over long periods from official sources to assess climate patterns.

So here's the verdict on eastern winters: they are actually getting colder, though still well within the historical variation:

This graph also confirms global findings of the 1930s having been the hottest decade the last 100 years (if not the last 2-3 centuries), and the 1970s having been a period of global cooling.

It certainly doesn't seem like the warming effect from more CO2 greenhouse gas in the atmosphere trapping more heat.

Talk about moving the goalposts.

It's not unusual for the weather in A to become nearly as hot as naturally warmer B, it happens every year around this time when the prevailing winds shift from the northwest direction to the southeast direction, from B to A.

You should know that, as should anyone who has lived in the Bay near the coast.

Well... there is more CO2 in the atmosphere. We can measure it. We have measured it. If it keeps rising this won't end well for us.

I live in Bay Point. Haven't turned our airco on in years. Breeze at night cools the house down and our relatively new (30+ years old), well stuccoed house stays cool on the first floor during the day. Occasionally we run a Walmart fan by our bed at night if there is no wind and it's been 100. Three days per week we drive to SF and walk all day and into the early evening. We have it easy here in the Bay Area.

The Bay Area gets its one week of hot weather in early Fall where you don't have to wear a sweater at night, and you're freaking out?
There's been a temperature inversion during this heat wave. We live at the ridge of the Berkeley Hills, about 1200 feet, and some of our overnight lows have been above 80. Our daughter lives near Sacramento St and it's been about 15 degrees cooler there throughout the day. Sunday, the 6th, I left our house at 6 AM to play golf with my son in Walnut Creek. It was 81 when I left and 67 when I got to his house.

Patrick Moore, my God. He's basically RFK Jr. without the tragic family history

Bay Area is hot AF and I am wishing I had AC in the hills right now. F Patrick Moore, a$$ clown

You need an AC when the overnight low is 57F??? Who is the clown here.

It was 81 when I left and 67 when I got to his house.
finally today is better, past week has been unbearable

He blamed Obama to some extent, but then of course the Trump term happened. The blame is on Trump

He blames Obama because he thinks they should have been more aggressive against Russia after they took Crimea, not because he believes the US should back off.

and in this damn area called "Off Topic", probably the most truthful.

Trump saved Putin's life during Covid:

Most of us are understandably focused on the White House, but there are big battles over both halves of Congress. In my home state of Oregon the only really competitive House district is next door to me and is the source of non-stop advertisements. With this news reports things are officially getting ugly. The D challenger is now alleged to have covered up a sexual assault of a minor that worked on her campaign. Her campaign denies the allegation.

Yes, they did. Obama caught with his pants down.

Notice the Progressives duck the cogent facts in the article.
