The in-the-tank Left MSM ignored Biden's dementia and frail state for over 4 years until exposed by President Trump.

So the oligarchs exchanged one puppet for another, even though Harris never received a single vote.

So please save your hypocritical moralizing.

Cool chart. For what I'm familiar with the right side seems accurate and the left side seems a tad generous. Hannity and that ilk of show are almost unfair to include because they aren't news; they are news and opinion, and opinion by definition puts you into a different realm of reliability.

Portland throwing out their whole government.

Drug decriminalization and defunding the police failed. Uncertain future, business and citizens abandon the city.

I live 10 miles south of downtown Portland. My office is (was) kitty-corner from the park where the riots happened.

The article is extremely well done, balanced and accurate.

Portland and Oregon have always been Blue. But there was a rationality to it that manifested in a quirky but functioning city. Portland was vibrant, clean, safe...it was entirely common to walk downtown and see people eating/drinking outside of pubs and cafes at nearly any hour, it was safe to go into nearly any area of town late at night, etc. Those days are long long gone. Mother's - the restaurant cited in the article - has been THE place to go for breakfast forever. It is now on the cusp of going out of business. Businesses across the street from my office are still boarded up. City blocks are encircled with chain linked fence and the city blocks are filled with homeless people's tents. It is just really really sad to see what Portland has become.

Righties aren't very good at charts and graphs and stuff. Too complicated. They need simple images, using primary colors, with a minimum of information to avoid total confusion.

I am honestly surprised tequila got as much out of it as he did. He took his smart pills, I guess.

Jesus, you really are on a roll with the personal attacks. Or maybe that was intended to be humor.

Point of order: I used Hannity as an example of mixed news / opinion. The response was that the chart accounts for Opinion. But Hannity is not in the quadrant that correlates to opinion. I humbly accepted the possibility that I simply missed something. Turns out the explanation that the chart accounts for opinion is incomplete or wrong, at least relative to the specific comment that I made.

It's basically a scale with "hard news" outlets at the top and it going into "opinion" in the middle and pure propaganda or conspiracy at the bottom. You can intuit that the stuff further below is just another category of opinion, only even less reliable.

They consider Hannity a propaganda outlet. One can agree or disagree with that, but it's not like they ignored the idea that he could be an opinion show.

The important and overlooked aspect about that chart here is that its author is on the pro-establishment left, it's the view from his slant.

My answer - even though you were not asking me - is that I would like more information. Per NPR,

"According to the book, Trump sent the secret shipment of testing equipment to the Russian leader at the height of the pandemic in 2020, even as the U.S. and other nations were facing crippling shortages of testing kits." (emphasis added)

I have read elsewhere that Woodward reports it was 6 (kits/equipment)

As a starting point I would like to get the basic facts of the story correct. What exactly are we talking about and how many?

From there - assuming we are talking about 6 little boxes of self tests - it is a bad look, especially for a guy with an America First agenda. But if it turns out to be 6 self tests it doesn't materially affect the US population and it is probably smart and good for a President to foster good relations with other world leaders, even (maybe especially) an evil SOB like Putin.

I would guess that Woodward hid that basic information in order to generate maximum TDS/RDS response.

I do not recall that there ever were Covid testing machines. I do not know what that means.

Also, timing matters. When were they sent? Tests in the US began in March 2020 and personal tests were announced in July. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Development_of_COVID-19_tests

I am sticking with my core answer - bad look, want details.

She has to get loose and relaxed to be able to perform all those hand gestures she uses for bait to hook an audience. She has more oh so smooth hand maneuvers than a centipede has legs, all designed to reel us in, and keep our attention away from her word salad. The hand movements look so practiced and perfectly timed. She must have practiced them for years, maybe since she was a babe in a cradle. Amazing.
