She has to get loose and relaxed to be able to perform all those hand gestures she uses for bait to hook an audience. She has more oh so smooth hand maneuvers than a centipede has legs, all designed to reel us in, and keep our attention away from her word salad. The hand movements look so practiced and perfectly timed. She must have practiced them for years, maybe since she was a babe in a cradle. Amazing.
If the other report about the WH coke is true a single Miller Lite is nothing

Trump says he "has a very good relationship with both Zelensky and Putin," and that he "will end the war in Ukraine in one day" (if elected again).

But if he has such a good relationship with Putin right now, why doesn't he end the war today? Why does he want to wait to first be elected to end the war?

Because he's not the president right now, he's just a dude from Queens who spends a lot of time in his Florida shack.

He hasn't articulated why being President would change his "very good" relationship with Putin, so why doesn't he leverage that good relationship now and prove he's as great of a deal-maker as he claims?

Edit: Answer is he won't do it because he's a liar and a fraud. If he could do it now, he would win the election and stay out of jail, which proves he can't.
Ridiculous. He can do nothing right now, because he is not President. He has no power. He has no control over our support of Ukraine. He has no chips in this game. What is he going to offer Putin or Zelensky?

Precisely. He can't end the war "in one day" now because he obviously has no skills in real persuasion (i.e., real "deal-making"), so he could never do it (even hypothetically) unless he had the power to threaten Zelensky.

You want the war to end on Putin's terms (and keep Trump out of jail)? Vote Trump!
Untrue and simplistic.

Since you like simple, let me be simple here as well. I've been in the construction business most of my engineering career. You do not become a successful developer of property on a large scale in a place like New York City without having "skills in persuasion". It is perhaps the most competitive city in which to do big business. You have to deal with all kinds of power, and power brokers. My father was an Architect for 50 years, and he said that every good contractor he had known suffered from ulcers. They are constant pressure to find good workers, meet payroll, and not go broke. My great uncle was an Architect in New York. On one project in NYC, he got into a fight with a contractor. He hit the man, knocking him down a flight of stairs. The next day, the Mafia put out a contract on my great uncle. He finally had to go the Mayor, Fiorello la Guardia, to plead with him to go to the Mafia, and get the contract lifted. Putting up buildings in NYC is not for anyone who has no persuasion skills.

First you have to hire top-notch designers. Once you have a design, you need get some of the sharks on Wall Street to invest million or billions in your idea. Guys with enough money to invest are usually not easily persuaded, otherwise they would not have lots of money. Once you have financing, you need to get approval from the city planning department, and after that a building permit from the building department. Sounds simple, but it can take years to accomplish this, and every day a project is stalled, costs you a lot of money. Then you must hire competent contractors and sub-contractors to build the project.

During construction, you will encounter problems with the work, the workers, and even the banks. You will have constant meetings with men and women you will need to persuade to help you. The workers will all be members of labor unions, and in NYC, the labor unions were controlled by the Mafia. So you must be able to persuade Mafia, or they can shut down your project, even causing you to go broke.

When the project is finished, you will need occupancy permits. There may be lawsuits you have to deal with. You have to be able to persuade so many people, all with their own interests at stake, to finish a project successfully. Of course, you can hire some people to negotiate much of these issues, but the bigger decisions will require you to be persuasive yourself. You will sink or swim, depending on many things, one of which is your ability to persuade. Trump was successful there, loved by some, hated by some, but he was successful, and the buildings prove it.

Yes, I like simple explanations when they are true. But:

1) Whatever "skills in real persuasion" Trump may have had as a property developer in New York, you can only claim he still has them if you haven't noticed his precipitous cognitive decline, especially in the last 4 years ;

2) If he actually had the same "skills of persuasion" as before and such a great relationship with both Zelensky and Putin, why would he need "power" to convince both leaders his solution for ending the war is in their mutual interest? Also, do you really believe Trump's claim that he could end the war "in one day"? ; and finally

3) You didn't address my claim that (if elected) Trump would (use his new "power" to) try to force Zelensky to essentially accept Putin's demands in order to "end the war".

So, whose claims are "untrue and simplistic"?

It is such a hard election to predict. I choke a little on the Trump favorable predictions because he is SO hated and I'm just not sure people are really going to vote for him when push comes to shove. But there's been a recent run of D side communications about trouble in the Harris world. That stuff doesn't come out for public consumption unless its true. Doesn't mean this is over but this may turn out to be a point in time that mattered.

I just watched a video of an Indian Democrat tech Billionaire who voted D in 2016 and 2020. He met Trump at a fundraiser and said he's funny and personable.

He said he woke up in 2022, and that Trump's persona overshadows his opposite.

Then he realized that the Charlottesville alleged racist comments weren't; and in fact President Trump said the exact opposite. So he appears to have flipped.

The election is clearly close. Just remember that Polymarket is not a "poll," it's a betting market. And it's a betting market that Elon Musk has heavily pushed from his own Twitter account recently, so you should expect heavier betting on the Trump side right now. It doesn't mean anything.

I've seen some rumblings as well.

I don't see how people can support our MIC, Forever Wars, historic inflation and invasion. Likely over one Million dead. The media plays a big role in this purposeful manipulation. We have no reporters on the ground in Ukraine, few honest reports of casualties, etc. Maybe it was the same during Vietnam?

According to Elon Musk Trump realizes he went in unprepared in 2016 as he was such a longshot, and his advisors then often recommended bad choices. President Trump specifically told him some were "bad people" (and I immediately thought ... John Bolton?), and he's now self-funded a transition effort to prepare in advance this time.

Exactly, as people slowly realize they've been lied to, they eventually wake up and will vote for Trump. It's usually not the case the other way around.

tRump needs as much of this overstated polling info out there as he can so that it supports his "the election was rigged" narrative if he loses.

tRump has to have faith. His Covid testing kit/phone call buddy won't let him down. A Harris win is an existential threat to Putin and his plans for the former Eastern Bloc.

Facts refute your Liberal Harris fantasies.

- Biden-Harris didn't reply to Putin's serious written demands (negotiation points) months prior to his SMO
- Biden condoned a limited incursion by Putin
- Biden-Harris allowed 12 secret CIA facilities to remain on the Russian border
- Putin went into Ukraine under Biden Harris
- Biden-Harris don't have a peace negotiator talking to their Russian counterpart on a daily basis
- Biden-Harris functionary Lloyd Austin said "we want to weaken Russia", not a good statement for relations
- the economic blockade backfired
