Yes. But the overarching point is that Hobbs did not decimate people's access to abortion. Even Axios reports the number of abortions has increased each year and the number of telehealth abortions has jumped significantly each year since the SCOTUS ruling. So good or bad, the claims about Trump/R's being pro-life may be true from policy perspectives but the policies have not resulted in net net "improvements" (fromm the pro-life perspective) in the number of abortions.

I did 5 consecutive dunks to beat him in HORSE at the Rossmoor gym. He was in too foul of a mood to socialize after that.

helltopay1 and I kept in touch after he was banned and we sort of talked about meeting some time. When he found out he had terminal cancer last summer, he wrote me and so I finally made it out to see him in Rossmoor. He was a good guy. Okay, he probably sort of believed all that stuff he posted, but it was largely with a sense of humor. He never really took himself, or his BI persona, really, really seriously.

As was duly noted on the Obituaries thread, he passed away about 3-4 weeks after I saw him. Bob Randall, RIP.

Bob and I had several conversations by phone. He played high school ball in San Francisco, at St Ignatius, and also for Lowell. One of my older cousins, Jim, who played for Lincoln, had made the All-City team the previous two seasons. When Lowell played Lincoln, Bob went up against Jim that day, man to man for the whole game. When I asked Jim if he remembered Bob, Jim told me that he thought he himself was a pretty damn good player, but "in that game, Bob Randall really stole my bacon." Not only that game, but Bob made the All-City team that season, and my cousin Jim did not.

Bob called me one day to ask me if Jim was my cousin, and I said yes. Bob asked for Jim's phone number, which I gave him. Jim called me and said he had some good conversations about their favorite sport before Bob passed away. I wish I could have listened in.

Your post about Bob was Sept 11, 2024, page 55 of the Obituaries Thread.

I googled his name and it appears under Thank You Volunteers in the Rossmoor Republican.

Given he grew up in SF and you listed the age, I suspect we should be able to find him in the 1950 census. That would give us his family of origin. From there we can find more things.

Eventually we would work way down to his children and then we could contact them to tell them they might want to lookup everything he posted here.

A side of dad they never knew.

How many who post crazy rants here would like their progeny to have access to this compendium of inner thoughts??

I've got probably 30,000 posts!
Well, they already know I want Trump to die, I tell them every week.
But what other tidbits would they be shocked to read?

Maybe simply the fact that I post an average of 4x per day is the most telling. What did dad do with his life??

God gave him this wonderful life, and he laid in bed rambling to himself half the time. Hmmmm.

Because all the power and rights are given by God to the citizens. So, quite logical that God is acknowledged as the ultimate authority. Thus, swearing an oath to the author/creator makes perfect sense.

For proper context, Conagra bought Chef Boyardee in May of 2000, when it paid $2.9 Billion to absorb International Home Foods Inc, which owned Chef Boyardee, PAM cooking spray, and Gulden's Mustard.

Chef Boyardee products that are part of the transaction accounted for $450 million of Conagra's fiscal year 2024 sales.

Of course, $1 in 1946 is now worth $16.50 due to inflation.

More interested in our Intell Community trying to start a war w Russia.

I knew our C-A was powerful, but never knew how active and widespread it was. Tucker Carlson recently has a guest on, a former Federal employee, who publicly admitted that our C-A tortures people. The Deep State then went after him, bankrupted him, and he spent a few years in prison, serving every day of his sentence.

Apparently our Deep State and MIC have wanted war w Russia for years, and our big corporations want to divide Russia's assets. Except it appears now that Russia has the superior Military and firepower, except maybe our long-range bombers. But I'm sure Russia has getter air defenses than Iran.
