Is there a law regulating the sale of US private property to foreign entities? Is it codified somewhere that China is officially an "enemy nation"?

Not 100% sure, but I think the answer to each of the above is no. My point being, if it is such a national security threat, the federal government should outlaw it.

Food update:

Crazy Block Cheesecakes at 3355 Lakeshore Ave, Oakland, has some superb BBQ. Don't let the name fool you. Had their brisket, Mac n cheese, and cornbread last night. And split a milkshake next door after some strolling at Flipside.

On a previous trip, enjoyed a (smash) Hyphey Burger and fries at 898 W Grand Ave, but for most I wouldn't go alone (I did). Great burger, area sketchy, it's dicey going at night. Great service, local small business. Second location in the works.

FWIW, several sections of large 'homeless' camps have been removed, including over a dozen large campers. The Grand Lake area seemed cleaner, less street trash on a Friday evening. Good signs.
