I urge a little caution here. The distance photo makes it looks like it could be a middle eastern person but a close up shot on social media makes it not so clear cut, IMO. TBD

Yeah, this is a turn of events. The people that worked with us absolutely deserve to be here - leaving them behind is/was a death sentence. Let's see how this plays out and what his motive was.
