Paster's New Position Is an Inside Job

Trey Paster is a fast learner, which is a good thing for his Cal football career. The redshirt freshman from Merced was a cornerback in high school. Almost the instant he set foot on campus last year, he was pegged as a safety by the Bears coaching staff.

Before long he was spending time at the team’s hybrid (DB/linebacker) Star position. This spring he found himself at the bottom of the depth chart again, this time at inside backer.
